I am taking his online class and it has a lot of work to it however he is very unorganized, does not respond to my emails if you have questions, and very unfair grader when you put a lot of time and effort in your work!

I took this as an online class and it was based off of a ton of readings and discussion boards as well as a few papers, a midterm and final. Prof Lorenson is hard to get a hold of and is terrible about posting grades. It's really easy to fall behind in this class so don't take it if you tend to put assignments off! Try to avoid this class!

I took him for his online ARTS 299 section. I have sent him approximately five emails throughout the semester and he has not replied to a single one. He uploaded the midterm and final late because he either forgot or couldn't figure out Blackboard. Discussions are extremely tedious and take a long time to do.

Keeping in mind that this class covers two requirements... it is still a lot of work! 15+ articles to read each week w/6-10 discussion posts + responses per week. Midterm and final took hours to do. 3 five page papers and the final project is to create a sculpture. If you have the time and patience for it, it is worth it to get 2 requirements.

This professor SUCKS. He doesn't respond to emails even though it is an online course and he thinks this is the only responsibility that we have. 15+ articles to read each week with at least 6 discussion questions along with responses to answers, very strict and syllabus is very unclear. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

Took his online seminar class, emailed him questions in at least 8 emails over the first month of class and never got a response. Doesn't answer questions about his unclear syllabus. This online seminar is way too much work than its worth and at the end the final paper he makes you make an actual sculpture so if you're not an art major do not take.

This guy is great! I go to him for pretty much anything I need and he's always willing to help out. He's understanding and loves what he does. He's nothing but helpful and loves students who go out of their way to succeed.

I am almost done with his online class and it is a lot of discussion posts, three 5-page essay, a midterm and a final. So it is a lot of work that I tend to forget to do but he seems like an easy grader. He is also fast at responding to emails. If your looking for an online class that covers 2 core requirements its not that bad.

Took this online to fulfill 2nd year seminar req. He never responds to emails and doesn't grade anything you do, so you have no idea how you're doing. Consists of discussion board..which was annoying, 3 five-page papers, midterm, and final. This will be my last art class I will ever take..not recommended for non-Art majors.

STAY AWAY! His class isn't hard but it is so annoying. No one who takes this class really cares about sculptures in magazines but there is so much work it becomes you life. If you want to get a good grade in a class take this one. HOWEVER, be prepared to do more work in this meaningless class than any of your other ones.

Rob is the perfect professor for those who prefer a less meddlesome art professor. He's always available in class if you have a question, but he never hovers or makes you nervous like every other art professor I've had. He lets you work out problems on your own, which makes you a better artist.

Rob is really laid back. His projects are are all over the board. we worked with all types of mediums (clay, metal, cement, plastic, wire...) His classes are really relaxed, you just need to make sure your projects are done by critique time. other than that, this class is easy. honestly, even if you don't like art it's not hard to pass.

Workload is pretty heavy for a class that means nothing to most. You have no idea how you are doing because he does not grade anything, the questions take a very long time to answer, and he is very strict about the papers in an annoying unnecessary way. Even though it is online, I wouldn't advise anyone to take it!!!!

I took his Contemporary Sculpture class... he changed the course to entirely online without telling anybody so we are still being charged with an evening fee. He gives no inclination on where you stand grade-wise, and he grades entirely too hard for an art core. He's completely full of himself, his hw questions make no sense. I can't stand him.
