Funny guy! I liked him, and I had fun actually in his class. He likes a good writer, so polish your papers really well before you turn them in. IDs on his tests are almost impossible, but luckily he prefers essay questions. Otherwise, fun guy, and he will like you a lot more if you talk in class and make yourself known.

Doesn't teach you anything. Makes you do the homework, and then he gives goes around the class to make people give answers and put them on the spot. No oral sections on any tests, but be prepared to talk in class. He will make you feel stupid if you don't know the answer. He's pretty funny on a good day and his tests aren't too hard. do the work!

Horrible! I dreaded going to class every day. There's a ton of homework every night, and the whole class is spent going over it. He doesn't actually teach the material. Never mispronounce words or he'll make you feel stupid. I was fine with French before him and always got A's. Now I HATE it, though I ended up with a B. Worst teacher ever!

Really funny and nice guy. Class time is spent on going over homework, so you have to do the homework to learn the material. Ask questions or he won't know to help though. Sometimes he puts you on the spot, overall good class though.

Fortunately, I am already pretty good at French. You pretty much have to teach yourself in this class, the actual class time is going over the homework. Does not ask anyone if they have questions in class, and he answers your questions very quickly and continues on. Very smart guy, but not very patient. Take Houston if you need extra help in french

AWESOME! he is helpful and makes class interesting. I'm glad i took his french civ. class, I felt a little more cultured afterwards. He is so intelligent too and pronounces german words correctly! take his class if you want to learn about other cultures.

if you come to class and do the readings, he will like you and grade your essays and tests a lot easier than others who slack off. study hard for tests though. lectures are actually pretty interesting, i was prepared to be bored out of my mind, and i'm definitely not. daily quizzes are almost impossible but not worth much anyway.

Fun guy, really enjoys his subject and has lots of personal stories to tell. Speaks French throughout most of the class. If you do the homework he will like you and put his best effort in to making you understand. Always seems to know if you don't do something, though and calls you on it.

Best french professor I have ever had in my 5 years of taking french classes! He is so helpful. His classes are interesting and can really boost your ability to speak the language. Tests seem intimidating but they aren't as bad as you think, just go in and have a good time with it.

If you need help he is more than happy to give it. Whether it healps or not is for you to decide. Tests are HORRIBLE. Must know EVERY SINGLE detail. Other than tests being so hard he is a sweet man.
