This professor was very boring & spoke of political topics which would only be understood if you kept up to date with every aspect of the political world today. This makes it difficult to follow along and participate bc you lose track of the topic. Super annoying bc he goes MIA and cannot get a hold of him beyond the course final.

Professor Macdermid is very boring and always talked about personal experiences which rarely applied to the concept at hand. The TA's had to correct him multiple times during lecture because he was constantly making mistakes regarding course material. Honestly, just stay home, do the textbook readings and you will come out with a good grade.

1. Destroyed any potential interest coming out of the course 2. Could have learned more through independent reading/ learning 3. GPA Killer for sure (bell curves!) 4. If you ever have a concern about your grade he's merely impossible to contact - (I am convinced he goes to Alaska RIGHT after exams) 5. Doen't have a genuine care for students

His class is extremely boring, he is not a good presenter but his material that he puts on his site is very good. I went to every class, I looked over notes for 2 hours for both exams, and got a B. If you want to learn, don't take him, if you want an easy B/A, take him. Plenty of other professors you can get a good mark with and learn. 6.5/10 imo.

I disagree with the comment below - He clearly explains what he wants and will help you! I went over papers with him in person and he emailed via email by providing me with links to use for my papers. His class was easy - GPA BOOSTER!

Good professor, a little unorganized with lectures. Posts them online but without full commentary. You either go to class and listen to him, or stay at home and do the readings. No need for both since it barely makes a difference. Fair exam, clear questions and concise with material learned in the course while allowing for independent thinking.

A very smart professor and nice. The only issue with him is that his lectures are already outlined in his notes and he tends to go off on tangents. By the latter half of the semester, 75% of the class was empty.

He seems like a nice guy, but horrible prof. He is so boring literally half the class skips lecture. He is very hard to understand because he rambles alot and covers things that are not even part of what we are even learning. Every lecture seemed disorganized. I would not recommend this class and this prof.

He's nice guy, but his lectures are very boring. He rambles alot, says many irrelevant things. Most of his lectures he just summarizes his own notes. However, his essays and exams are easy, so if you can get through boring lectures, you will do well in his courses.
