Comment:

The irony of the lack of structure/organization in a management class is profound. Marx is not a bad guy but he tells too many stupid jokes instead of actually teaching and going through the slides. Worst class I have ever taken. Extra credit helped and there was a ridiculous scale,which says a lot about how poorly students were prepared for exams.

This class sucks as a whole. Its shame that everyone in the business school has to take it because theres no structure. Very disorganized and the scaling is ridiculous. The fact that they scale it so much shows how little people understand anything they say.

This class is very hard. The exams are really tricky and you need to study a lot, be on the contributor's list, and do extra credit to get a decent grade. Marx's exam is the hardest and he will ask questions about things mentioned like once in lecture. This class is a waste of time and I would not recommend it at all.

class structure sucks. he's funny and VERY nice but not a good teacher. you'll think you know the material but on the exam, the answers are very subjective so you can't be sure. huge scale because everyone does badly on the exam. read all the material and know every theory. go to the review session because it helps a little. do ALL the extra credit

This was the worst class I've ever taken. The material seems easy but the exams are completely ridiculous and make no sense. No matter how hard you study, it won't make a difference. The exams will be full of trick questions that could have more than one answer.

Marx is an awesome guy. his section was fun and interesting! i really enjoyed the class, but i thought that the test was extremely tricky. luckily, it is scaled by a lot. also do all the extra credits in this class! really funny and good guy

Best professor out of the three. Most clear information. He tells you EXACTLY what will be on his exam and gives you a review sheet. If you go over what's on the review sheet, do the practice exam, and go to his out of class review, you'll do fine.

Really important to come to class. Makes huge emphasis on homework readings in his Module Exam which can be tricky. Questions aren't always simple Multiple Choice. He isn't always as clear as he should be, but if you go to review your exam with him, it definitely helps you & your grade.

Out of the three professors, he was the worst. His material and methods of teaching are VERY outdated. His jokes and comments are condescending to women. Feels like he's been teaching the same way since the 50's and his daily class assignments are a waste of my time.

He taught the Fellows Business and Society Leadership class. Honestly, the most useful class I'll ever have in Isenberg. He makes it fun, he's like your own 4 foot tall grandpa. Unbelievably easy and a good guy to ask for recommendations later down the road.

Awful. Simply Awful. His voice makes me want to kill myself. He has no management skills at all as demonstrated by his poorly run class. Gave some students unfair extra credit. I'm sorry to all taxpayers and students that help pay his salary.

For a management professor, the class is very poorly managed. He has no control over the large Mahar classroom and if the crowd is talking, he won't try to talk over you or even try and quiet the crowd. He will just keep talking quieter. His material is relevant but his teaching style is one of the worst. Save yourself the grief and avoid his class

Definitely one of the most disappointing classes I have taken at UMass. I do not know how he is still teaching here! Very picky on the tests so you do have to know it all. Overall you learn absolutely nothing from this class when business students should have a strong background in management. If you have the chance, take the class online.

He's the funniest of the three and a bit crazy. His material is interesting if you like psych stuff but you really gotta know it all. I had to study a lot of his exam and all of his material for the final, so make sure you do that, as well as get TA help or go to him for help if you need to. Also: contributor's list helps...a lot.

Funny guy. Stuff seems kind of straight forward at first until you get the test. Doing practice tests might help, but not much. Too much subjective theory BS.
