Comment:

Dr. Moore makes English super interesting. He goes over everything in great detail and really makes you see the storys in a different light. The reading material he hands out is interesting and easy to read. There is 3 papers, 4 tests, & a final though. He also gives out participation marks but honestly it isnt hard to get into the conversation.

Comment:

Dr. Moore is one of the best professors Ive ever had. He is excited about English and will go to many lengths to make sure that his students understand difficult classes. If I could, I would take all of his classes. The tests are tricky, but if you take good notes, youll be fine. If you dont attend the class, you wont pass.

Moore is amazing. Be prepared to read and really pay attention in class. He really clearly illustrates topics and is always willing to help outside of office hours which is a bonus. You can get away with not purchasing the textbook, but it is helpful to write in the margins especially during the poetry unit.

First class I took with him I knew right away I didn't like him as a prof. Cannot follow what he's saying, goes in circles, has a fan club of would-be's and thinks he is a genius. Had to take him for another course and hated that too. He passed me with what I needed and that was it. Assignments were dumb and the courses are whack

Great professor, fair to students. Attempts to prepare you for all tests and essays. That being said his essays and exams are challenging (tests not so much) and you need to be prepared. Overall solid, course. He has a great sense of humour as well and an easy going guy.

The man is impossibly cerebral. Has a habit of over-intellectualizing everything to an EXTREME. I often had no idea what he was talking about. Terribly nitpicky. Lectures are a non-stop barrage of highbrow terms and egghead concepts that are just inaccessible. Nice man, but his approach intimidates most undergrads.

If you are interested in English and want to do well, he is the professor to take classes from. Granted, he is very tough but you come out a far better student in the end. He is very dedicated and willing to meet with you if you are having difficulty, and he also responds to emails within 24-48 hours. I would take courses from him in the future.

I don't have an IQ in the genius range, therefore I found most of what he said in class totally baffling and way too advanced. I wished that he would cut through all the bloated terminology and get to the point. His fan club at the front of the room certainly seemed to like his class.

He's probably the most intellectual prof I've ever had. Very willing to meet with students, and he makes class funny/interesting. Although sometimes his lectures (word usage) are WAY over the heads of most first year students.

Don't especially like his class, although he is funny at times. I find he does sorta play favourites and does sometimes puts down & laugh at student responses which upsets me. If your gonna take this class, make sure you are very good at english first.

Never available for xtra help (cancels office hours). I have seen him insult students during class time/rehearsal. Is arrogant, plays favorites, cancels classes often and is a poor teacher. Should be fired. Too bad is tenured.
