I haven't learned a single thing from the guy. I rely solely on the textbook as he doesn't teach. In class, I have not learned a single thing. He exclusively uses examples with no explanation, while maintaining that this is all "easy". Save yourself the time and just do the textbook examples at home. You can actually learn this way.

Recommend him and statistics to anyone in a science program. Took mine over the summer and found it to be fair and understandable with good feedback from R.P. Sealy. In 2nd year you'll be have to do some analytics and data acquisition course for whatever science you take and taking this over the summer helped a lot. Also math minor credits are nice

Well, I got an A in this class but it was definitely not due to his amazing teaching skills. To be honest, he is a mathematician and Stats 2311 is not a real mathetmatics class, in the real sense of it. If you stick to the text, do the practice problems and test (he is very willing to give many practice exams), you will do well, if not you will not

Explains concepts very well. A great deal of time was spent reviewing concepts in preparation for test, something I find valuable and rare at the university level. Can not imagine a better stats prof.

Hahaha... this guy is all over the map. Very vague but you always know what you're going to have on your exam after writing the tests... all the tests stapled together. Thank goodness, because if you had to rely on his teaching to get a good mark you'd be a little lost.

His class is the most boring class I have even attended. It seems that he never prepare the lectures carefully. As international students, we feel like he is a person with discrimination. When we ask him question, he always seems very impatient.
