Comment:
Teese is a good choice as far as physics profs. here go. He's caring, and a fun guy once you get farther into the semester. He gives plenty of time for homework, and the lectures are relatively clear. The class itself is hard, but Teese makes it bearable (though a somewhat boring).

Don't get me wrong, he is a good guy and appears to be a fair grader. It's his teaching method I struggle with. It relies a lot on self teaching, and he doesn't really explain the material or procedure beforehand. He'll prod you in the right direction if you ask him, but it's still asking us to figure out challenging material on our own.

He generally explains what you're doing (sort of) but it's mostly on you and your group to figure out what to do. Lots of labs and group lab reports. The class wasn't easy, but he was good about partial credit when it was due.

I liked Teese. The material is not easy, make no mistake, but this is true of any Physics class. He has a very off sense of humor, and might be a little old to be still teaching, but he was always very kind and helpful whenever I asked for it. He doesn't take time to coddle those who don't pay attention, however; you'll get out what you put in.

clearly he is bad in teaching and he couldn't deliver the clue so it will be self study class but maybe he is good in another field that has not teaching.

He doesn't explain anything clearly, and treats you as if you know everything. He made me hesitate of wanting to become an engineer.

As far as physics professors go, Dr. Teese was one of the better ones in my opinion. Has an enthusiasm for physics and explains things fairly clearly. However, sometimes he can be a bit boring, so it's hard to pay attention to his explanations. Is very willing to help students in and out of class. I would recommend him.

Dr. Teese is a good guy and tries to bring some humor to physics. He explains the material well and then gives practice problems on it and comes around helping you with the problems. I would recommend anyone take his class

Nice guy, different sense of humor, but that adds to making the class more interesting. Explains things fairly well. Has lots of patience which helps when you are a new to the course. Clear to understand. Show commitment and you'll gain respect.

I personally loved him. He explains every topic very well before we go and do problems on it. His has a dry humor which can be refreshing at times for such a boring topic like physics. Many people would say that he isn't good, but it isn't his fault. Physics is a hard subject to teach, and he does the best compared to other UP1 teachers.

This professor is actually very clear in his lectures. If you can stay focused and listen to him he does explain things clearly. He gives you tons of example problems and he drills it in your head. He is much better than the professors that just talk theory all lecture and dont give you anything to work with. I dont know how you could fail

Don't expect him to teach you if you're in 311, as you're supposed to be dependent on your group. The only thing he does is hand out worksheets. He spends more time helping out individual students one at a time than the class, but that means you just have to wait two hours get help on something. Not a bad guy though.

The best advice is to not take this class at 8:00 if possible. Dr. Teese doesn't really grab your attention, and if you need help with something, he'll just tell you that you're a future engineer, so figure it out yourself. But luckily, our TA wakes up from the dead to "help us". "Help us" as in calling Bob Teese over. The tests aren't bad though.

Does not teach. Expects us to learn material and finish web assigns on new material before class, then puts us through the lectures on the material we just self-learned. Relatively easy tests. 85 class average
