Seems decent while lecturing, even though his lectures are outdated, directly from the textbook and full of grammatical and spelling errors, but he is incredibly rude if you talk to him after class or in office hours; thinks too highly of himself and does not help out his students at all, time for this old man to retire!

I love prof viggs! hes so hilarious and really good looking! he will teach no matter what even in the middle of a snow storm because he is that passionate! i love him and i learned so much through him and i wish every prof was him. oh hes kinda rude but a trooper

Rude, and sticks to the same set of notes he's been using for years and has never updated by proof of spelling errors. teaches directly out of the text. if a student does the readings they can do well in the class. One awesome thing: very fast with getting grades back to students, but he won't go out of his way to help students.

vigars is a joker while teaching, he is kind of rude when you go to talk to him in person but over all his lectures were clear and to the point. exams were hard because he tried to trick you which is annoying. he likes to go off on tangents in lectures

Genius. To this day 24 years later I still look back with fond memories. It was hard and I didn't get a good grade, but so what. I know of no one else who has Prof. Vigars organizational skills, knowledge of his subject and passion. It truly was the best of times for me. Anybody who says different is an ignorant peasant. Very clear in lectures. Exams do not give a chance for fair evaluation because he will try to trick you. In person not a very nice guy. My friend's grandma died and she had to miss an exam. He complained to her that now he was going to have to make a whole new exam just for her. He is accomodating but rude.
