Nice guy, but often not helpful with feedback. Lots and lots of essays. 50% of the final grade is your research paper so be sure to put in a ton of effort. Incredibly long and boring lectures. notes often unnecessary

He's the worst professor I've had at Fordham. Very inconsistent and scatter brained. I turned every paper in on time, followed the suggestions he made and then he completely contradicts himself. Wish I would've read his reviews before taking his class. Do yourself a favor and do NOT take him.

Awful professor. He doesn't guide you in any direction and instead makes you change your topic 10-15 times because he can't decide what he wants. Even if you go to him for help, he is unclear. This makes taking his class difficult because he grades preferentially but you can never read his mind.

Very boring content in class. Also very difficult grader because he has very specific grading guidelines that you have to guess about. Dr. Wasserman is also very old-school in his teaching and grading style. Expect to try very hard for a good grade, but receive a lower grade than you expect. He places 50% of your grade on the final paper.

this class was alright. he's kind of unclear about his expectations & doesn't follow the syllabus which I find unbearably annoying, but he's a decent guy. class is so boring. just do the assignments as best as you can and you'll probably end up with a B for the semester. all the weight is on the research paper at the end

A lot of required reading that was hardly ever used. He does not initially appear to be the friendliest person around, but if you put in effort and reach out for office hours, you'll be fine. Take advantage of his office hours! I learned more while in there, than I did in class.

Unclear on what he wants/expects - syllabus is confusing and doesn't get followed. Does not reply to emails, not sure about office hours though. BORINGCLASS!hardgrader! nice guy but now I'm seeing his "jerk" side. He gives 2pg papers each week and now for the 10pg paper,he expects us to LITERALLY rd 100+ paragraphs in 1 night .. he asks for too much and thinks that b/c his readings are 5pgs that we can do like 10 of them at a time.. always cuts me off DONT TAKE HIS CLASS! u will regret it

Automatically, the crudest being to be understood socially and as an instructor. He is with the deepest sincerity the worst man you will experience in the profession of academia. The worst human both professionally and individually, he needs to retire, after being stuck in the same class for a long time, his values are disgracing the grounds of Fordham. He has no will to help the ones in need because he is too involved as the person that he is. He teaching grounds are not well fitted to be at a prestigeous school.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! I thought people were just being harsh in their comments and his class fit my schedule. Huge mistake. Very boring, dry, and repetitive. One of the only classes that I have actually fallen asleep during multiple times in a semester. Nice guy in person but avoid his class at all costs!

By the end of the semester, 2/3 of the class dropped. The work wasn't hard, but there was too much in beginning, too little at end. Little direction given for research paper- he assigned broad topics but wanted specific facets on them-which he didn't mention until drafts were handed in. I got an A, but in was a frustrating process. NOT RECOMMENDED!

He is a very nice guy and seems to care about everyone. The class in general in not hard. He has a bunch of readings on the syllabus and gradually cuts the work load in half. He has computer problems every other class yet claims to be a tech geek. If you miss a lecture you won't miss anything. He is very boring. The class won't motivate you.
