profs kinda odd. Lectures are literally all over the place. I went to 2 classes total during the semester, cause lectures are that bad! however midterm and exam are both online, open book with AMPLE amounts of time. as long as you have his lecture notes organized to search things, you'll do great ! got a really good mark for only showing up twice.

Lectures are all over the place, no textbook, his notes are rambling thoughts written in point form, and there are two tests each worth 50 percent.

I don't usually have problems with any of my professors but Robert West was without a doubt the worst prof I've had. I don't know if this is because his teaching style is very different from my learning style but I found his notes and lectures so vague I had to drop the class because I wasn't going to pass at the rate I was going

Super passionate and very knowledgeable. This course had no readings, no textbook, and only 2 tests (50% each). Each question (all multiple choice) ends up being more than 1% of your final grade. He is great to listen to in lectures but no powerpoints, only PDFs of point form documents, which have little detail. You must attend class to do well.

Funny guy so that made class interesting. He is all over the place so it's hard to tell what concepts are important. No textbook, but since he is vague in class and on his slides, it would have been better to have a textbook for definitions. Multiple choice 50% midterm and final that are difficult. This class brought down my average.

The worst prof I've ever had, received the worst grade in my university career for a class that was worth an entire credit. His lectures make absolutely zero sense, very unclear on test material. Would not recommend.

Excellent knowledgeable prof. in ACT-R models. Learned cognitive psychology, and how to apply this knowledge in cognitive models. Excellent teaccher.

Dr. West seems a little all over the place with his lectures. Tough to take good notes & the notes he posts aren't much help. There's a midterm and a final worth 50% each & all multiple choice. I found the midterm fair but the final had some hard questions. Don't take this class with him unless you have a real passion for cognitive psychology.

He seems very all over the place and is hard to follow. He begins his lectures at the top of his slides (which are already unorganized) and then goes to the bottom and back up to the top. He is super nice and the course is easy as there is little work and no textbook readings.

Wished I had a different prof for this class. He describes the material with ambiguous contexts all the time. I inquired about a textbook, but all he responded in saying is that I need to focus on not being so scientifically oriented and he can do this because other profs do it. Hour long discussion about how to reference and generate stats. Lol?

I personally loved this class! Dr. West definitely knows what he's talking about. If you pay attention in class and read his notes, the exams are easy with no surprises.

I would not recommend this class. I read his reviews on here but thought " meh these people might be wrong"they weren't. First of all there's no book and you think okay cool that'll save me a couple hundred dollars, nope because his notes are all point form and he doesn't explain things well so i would have rather having a book. Also 2 exams 50%.

Lectures were disorganized, and there was no textbook so hard to prepare for exams. Exams very unfair with lots of unexpected questions that were hard to understand. If you don't show up to every class, you will fail. Not recommended. Take it with another professor.

He goes off tangents way too much. His notes are not clear at all and there is no textbook. His reviews aren't really reviews.. exams are worth 50/50% . Not the absolute worst class but if you can avoid it-please do.

I am an A student and I finished his class with the worse grade ever. He notes are not clear, and he does not clears them up in class. No txt book or paper which is good but he has 2 exams worth 50% each. So you be the judge. I am really disappointed.

Shows a lot of clips from youtube. his notes are not helpful, his test reviews are not actual reviews. his class lectures are usually him having a conversation with the TA, and he goes off on tangents that don't make any sense, and are hard to follow. His midterms are very tricky and not worded to make sense! AWFUL!

Robert is very knowledgeable and passionate about his field. He may seem permanently nervous, due to his awkwardness. He goes off on little tangents but if you're scientifically orientated, it's enjoyable. You HAVE to show up to class because his slides are quite thin for the material he covers in class - might get confused w/ the midterm Qs.

He's a really great prof, if you attend all the lectures you'll do really well in the course. He's a really nice guy too. He shows tons of videos and clips so it's pretty entertaining as far as content. There's no textbook which is great. One of the best Profs I've had in 4 years.

Great professor. Doesn't use a textbook, but he provides you with very detailed notes for each lecture, so if you want, you can just sit back and listen and still get an A. He likes to show lots of relevant youtube videos in class, which is always fun. The subject matter is very interesting. Only one flaw: he doesn't respond to his emails.
