great teacher! i love the subject, and i feel that he truly loves it as well. i know people give him a bad rap for being boring, but he really knows his stuff and he loves you if you get to know him. and he sounds like Ray Romano, so stop bashing Widell!

This guy needs to retire!I thought American Presidency was going to be an interesting class,he makes me not want to know anything about a president!Extremely boring and trying to talk to him in his office is like talk to a brick wall.Boring lectures, it is him reading you his notes or watching a video, anything can be on the test.Run for the hills!

RUN FOR THE HILLS! This is the most boring man on earth... not to mention his USELESSNESS. Very, VERY hard to sit through his lectures. I dropped the class the day before the first exam because I had NO idea what to expect and I just couldn't take it anymore. Avoid this man at all costs.

Very Hard Class. Attendance is taken every day so you must go to class, but you pretty much should go to class every day and pay attention as well! Internet assignments are given... and they aren't too bad. Make sure if you have questions you ask... no study guides are given, you must go off of your notes... good luck!

Had him for 3 classes, same story in all. Not a bad guy, but about as helpful as a lighter in hell. Boring, the books were more interesting than he. Be prepared for essay tests (EXTREMELY critical grading). Not all that bad for one class, but that's it. DON'T TAKE COMPARATIVE POLITICS WITH HIM

AHH! All I can say. The class is boring in the first place, and the man does indeed sound like Ben Stein from Ferris Bueller. Expect to learn everything from your book and on your own. He's not a bad guy, but he just lectures for a while and sends you off. You better buy the book if you're going to take his class.

Boring lectures so its hard to pay attention in class...he doesnt give any notes while he teaches, it is strictly up to you take notes on what he says. Test are extremely hard but if you memorize the chapters you will pass..Easy internet assignments will help your grade a little. I think there worth like 10% of you grade. Get someone else.

Extremely boring lectures and very specific tests. He is a nice man, but he comes off as the opposite. If you write down everything he says in class and read all of the text material, you will make an A. I wrote down everything he said and didnt read the book ... and made a B.

Everyone's right, his lectures are very boring. But what did you expect, its government. As long as you take good notes, most of the time,(I fell asleep some days) you'll be fine. I always waited till the night before the test to read the chapters and I made an A. Not as hard as everyone says.
