First impression was horrible. When he speaks to the class he tends to focus on one object, and just continues to ramble on. When in doubt get out. In mu opinion, i would not reccomend. I dropped this class ASAP!

Doc is awesome. A real mathematician and an elegant one at that. He is fast paced and somewhat unforgiving, but if you show up and look at what he has on the board, the material makes sense (albeit expressed differently than in the book). Very straightforward class structure with ample opportunity to get the stuff right before getting graded.

Worst professor EVER. Dropped. He yelled at a girl for asking a question saying "she should know this already" (wtf?), goes way too fast for ANYONE, lacks ANY social skills, is RUDE and is by far the WORST professor I have ever had in my entire education. Will NEVER take anything w him again. Txt book use high bc he doesn't teach anything clearly.

Wollkind is AWFUL! he doesnt teach the material.. he writes it on the board and erases it faster than you can get it down. He's very rude when you ask for help. I dropped the class after being yelled at when i asked for help.

Subject matter wasn't that hard, but he was so rude, unhelpful and incomprehensible that the class was a nightmare anyway. The only way I got anything done was by reading the book, since he can't explain anything well. Essentially, if you're good at math and can deal well with autistic people, you MIGHT be able to stay sane and get a good grade.

A fast-paced lunatic that will not adjust his teaching technique to different learning styles. Rude, rude, rude.Probably should not be a teacher. I dropped the class after two sessions and took it with Prof. Myhill instead. Much less insulting. Got an A.

In the 1990's I took Doc's Algebra I class in Brookfield High School. He was the worst teacher I ever had because he was rude, confusing & could not adjust his teaching methods to different learning styles. I became a certified teacher myself and learned from him what not to do as a teacher.

This class is unbelievable. 3 take home tests that we are allowed to work on in class. His teaching style is VERY fast paced. This class is an easy A. Knowing how to use a scientific calculator helps.

He is really....eccentric i guess, you ahve to mee the guy. All we had were 3 take home tests in which he gave us 2 classes for each one to work on them in groups! it was insane! Most ppl in the cass got at least a B, I reccomend him as long as you don't mind not really learning much...the class is just a GPA booster.

Doctor Wollkind is a brilliant teacher who loves what he does. It can be hard to adjust to his fast teaching pace at first but you will learn to deal with it. He is extremely kind and helpful and is passionate about math. Amazingly smart and clever. One of the best teachers I've ever had

He is eccentric to say the least but most brilliant people are. He is very helpful if you go to him. He goes a little fast w/ showing you the calculator stuff, but if you need him to help he is more than willing. He is traditional math teacher, so work hard, get help from him & you'll be fine.
