Has participation points everyday in class. Must have books to read and take in-class quizzes. Grades extremely hard, small mistakes like punctuation hurt your grade immensely. Talks the ENTIRE time, learned a lot in her class this semester..not about RWS more like her family history, current events, and other useless information. Do not take!!

You have to go to class, she gives little assignments or short quizzes on reading. Only have to write three essays and you can revise two of them. She's actually really interesting, she has a story for everything and it was actually pretty interesting most of the time. Hard grader, but if you follow her corrections you'll become a better writer.

Attendance is MANDATORY as there are often short easy quizzes or random assignments due so she can track if you actually go to class or not. There are three essays and you can revise two. This seems fair enough, but she will dock you for EVERYTHING. She is a very interesting person, though. You will learn a lot, her class was just hard as a freshie

She cares more about your grammar than content in your essays. The only good thing is she lets you redo 2 out of the 3 papers you write. She helps when you ask her in her office hours, but she grades too strictly. I got an A, A-, and B on my papers and ended with a B+ in the class.

She was very unapproachable and cold when I went in to talk to her about my final grade. Basically, it's her way or the high way. She is very picky about grammar and if your paper is not perfect, you WILL NOT get an A. Class is mandatory, and you will get marked down if you miss. There are 3 essays and you must get an A on all three to get an A.

I received a B+ after attending all classes but one and getting A-'s on all three papers. Really screwed up my gpa. Extremely boring class. It's hard to get an A on any of her papers unless you have impeccable grammar.

Like others said she really does go on tangents. But these tangents get interesting and all you have to do is sit there for most of class. She LOVES her grammar so make sure to have people quadruple check your paper for errors. All together she's not that bad. =)

Pretty boring class. she tends to get off on tangents the majority of class times. she clearly explains the 3 prompts for the year. 2/3 of the papers can be rewritten by the end of the semester. She knows her grammar and thats the only thing that she cares about on papers. i wouldnt say its an easy RWS class. attendance taken daily.

She is a really hard grader. She knows her stuff, but doesnt know how to stick out for her students. We had to have 6 mandatory tutoring sessions, and there was only one tutor for all of her 280 classes. It was really hard to be able to get an appointment with the tutor unless you did it like a month in advance. She's super old school.

Okay let's face it this class is awful. It's basically a way to make more cash. Professor Stagnaro is a very hard grader and will point out mistakes on papers. So students have an opportunity to improve their writing. Don't expect an A+ in the class. Just try hard very hard and you will more likely get a B.

i never bought the book. just borrow somebody's book before class starts and you'll be fine. she was late about 90% of the semester. to me she seemed like a hard grader although i did improve my writing a bit. to others it seemed easier. my advice take as credit/nocredit. o and its a bit boring.

The class is very simple. She doesn't assign busy work or very much hw. She assigns readings sometimes and then gives a quiz on it the next class. However, she is an extremely hard essay grader. Trying will get you a B. Try REALLY hard and you might get an A-. Three essays make up 90% of grade but they're fairly interesting; 125 minimum length.
