Best proffessor in all of my university career. He makes comlicated things so easy that you end up surprising yourself by how much you lunderstand. A MUST to go to lectures, you'll definetly end up workig much harder if you skip class. But going to class is awesome because he's so funny. My favourite prof EVER. I wish he taught everything lol

He's an amazing prof. I took 1027 with him and got a 90%+ grade. He explains algorithms so well in his lectures and makes it as interactive as possible. Really prepares you for assignments and exams. He's really fun too! I'm taking CS 2210 with him again this year and still love him!

1027 is so much harder than 1026. You need to go to class because Roberto likes to write the name of the algorithm in the slides but the actual algorithm on the board. I found him to be a funny guy who tries to make things interesting but he also spent a lot of time on topics (like random stuff about memory) which was never tested.

Seems quirky at first, but then you realize he's just uncaring and will laugh at students who don't understand the material. Very arrogant, both during lectures and at office hours. If you have to take this course, definitely go for the other prof.

Absolute gem. Amazing lectures, hilarious dude. Actually learnt a lot in his class, would recommend 10/10. To do well on the exam: PAST MIDTERMS. He doesnt even change the questions most of the time. Allows cheat sheets - put past midterm questions there. Easy mark, learn a lot.

Don't get the fuss about this guy. Would not take it again. Course materials not in line with traditional data structures so you have to relearn it again for interviews/if you learned it elsewhere, marks off. Condescending one-on-one: will help you, but you will feel like an idiot for having needed it. Takes about 2-3 days to respond to emails.

Roberto's courses are full of information, but he's such a great teacher you'll have it under control. Really cares about the students, and really knows how to teach. Comes off as a little patronizing sometimes cause he calls everyone "children," but it's just him being affable. He's a funny guy and a great prof. Take every course you can with him

Amazing prof, explains concepts clearly in class with lots of examples while keeping things interesting with a great sense of humor. Programming assignments are tough but there are lots of resources available to help you, and tests are a breeze as long as you understood the concepts taught in class. Would have him for every class if possible.

Great Prof. Genuinely a nice guy. Love his teaching style. It's not the typical read off powerpoint slides but more going through algorithms on the board while involving the class to think of the solution, thus helping everyone understand rather than memorize the materials. Exams are not easy. They test concepts rather than regurgitation.

I've had some amazing profs at UWO, and Roberto is definitely one of the best, if not the best. On several assignments, he would notice that few people were done by the due date, and offer penalty-free extensions to the class, with bonuses to the students who were done on time.
