Well, Professor Blaetz really loves film. She's really knowledgeable and she cares a lot, but honestly, I feel like I didn't really learn anything about film. I kinda got to the point where I didn't care about the class anymore, even though I love film.

Robin is the life of the film dept! She is so intelligent and genuinely cares about students. She has to advise a lot of people but I don't know anyone who doesn't love her. She gives interesting lectures & great personal/professional advice. She cares about students forming their own ideas and expressing themselves. Overall AMAZING PROFESSOR

Professor Blaetz is absolutely wonderful. I like the class more because of her energetic presence than film itself, and that is saying something because I love film a lot. Her's is my favourite class this semester and the reason why I am getting through the rest. Her class is very energizing and very very interesting. Do take.

Every class session with Robin is thought-provoking and captivating. Film is such an interesting subject as is, but she adds so much depth and experience to it that I feel it would be a shame to leave MHC without having taken a film class with her. She is also one of the kindest, most understanding and expressive professors I've encountered.

I think she's a very nice person, probably, but not a very good teacher at all. She focuses almost exclusively on form in art, and the textbook doesn't seem to have that approach either much. She's a lively, articulate person, but she doesn't like to listen to opinions different from her own much.

She is one of the most intelligent women I have ever met. She loves hearing your opinions and she's done so much yet she's so modest. I loved her class and I only took it on a whim because I had nothing else to take that would fit in my schedule. I definitely recommend taking at least one class with her while at MHC.
