Comment:
The class is poorly structured since she uses last semester's instructions with changed dates. When the time to do assignments comes, she will publish another set of instructions at the last minute, making students confused about what they must do. She will also be extremely hostile towards students disagreeing with her or for asking questions.

Absolutely awful. The structure of the class is very unorganized and assignments are not explained and are vague. Everybody in class is confused because she does not explain anything. & it is also hard to understand her because she does not speak clearly. She also does not respond to emails. She is a horrible teacher, try to avoid at all costs.

this class is more farming than Ecology. The books give a lot of good and useful information, but are heavy. worst class I have ever taken and hope I never have to take again. If she wants to be a strict and tough professor fine. BUT she never explains, class is worthless, and she is SO condescending! She seems smart but should NOT teach. The Worst

She is by far the worst teacher i have taken. Do not expect anything explained, don't expect emails answered, and don't expect her to answer questions. If you have a question her responses are in an attacking tone, basically making you feel stupid for asking a question. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She makes me want to change my major to avoid taking her

It was not an easy class, but I learned so much. She's an amazing teacher with a great deal of knowledge. She's open and kind and definitely willing to help. If you do the bare minimum and expect to get an A, you'll be disappointed. It's not impossible to be successful in her class. Get assignments started early so you can ask questions as you go.

God bless the future global politics student you will need it. She is the most difficult teacher. Do not expect emails back, to understand what is going on. Teach yourself while taking this class best advice anyone can give you. Good luck because she is TERRIBLE!

Oh man Dr. Bhatti. Never expect an email to be read or returned to you. Never expect to understand anything even if you did ask for something to be clarified. She is a good teacher she just sucks at the teaching part.

Ugh where to start. She's very unclear about assignments and expectations. Never responds to emails and is only available for a total of 30 minutes for office hours a week. GS is the best major, but she's a terrible representation of it.

Great class. Simulate the UNSC where each student represents a country -- which is heavily researched. Also, you learn important political philosophers who are not spoken about in traditional global politics classes.

THIS WOMAN IS AN ANGEL AND SAINT. Even though she is consistently criticised for her "unorthodox" teaching "metherds," the information attained through the course of the semester is crucial and relevant, not just to the Global Studies major, but in its application to quotidian interactions outside of academia. This woman has much to offer. Listen.

She is great. You will learn material that normally is not taught in universities. A definite Marxist, but open to all frameworks and metherds. She is an angel.

I recieved a B+ in both of her classes. Here's what you do. 1. READ READ READ! 2. Write long Complicated answers that even you barely understand. 3. READ READ READ somemore!!! 4. Pay attention in class discussions 5. Connect with other classmates or kids in the major. i promise you'll do fine if you follow those steps.

Comment:
A bit vague at what she is looking for on assignments. For instance, I got on A on every in class test that I did, but when I did the take home mid-term, I received a B because my explanations were "too brief" on short answer questions. I wrote a paragraph for each short answer questions and her instructions did not specify a length requirement.

I am still waiting for my grade, but I am not too confident. She failed two of my tests bu her questions were vague. When mentioned she said American students were too spoiled and they shouldn't need prompts. She does not grade fairly. Another student go the same comments on her test as I did, but she got a B and i got an F. Not taking her again

Robina is a good professor. She cares that her students learn the material and are able to apply it to the current world. She also makes the class material really come alive by taking the class on a few field trips. Just make sure to do the assigned reading for each class and you should do well.

Just reads of slides and repeats material from the book. Gives verbose and incoherent answers. Doesn't respond to e-mails. Super opinionated. Worst teacher ever.

Worst professor on the planet. I attempted to drop her class the week after the drop date, and she had signed the form saying I could drop the class with her permission. She then realized many people in class had complained to the dean, so she ripped up my agreement and walked away, refusing to talk to me. The Dean over ruled her in the end.

This professor is very biased as far as grading is concerned, and she is terrible at lecturing. Just reads her notes to the class on a projectile. She is not understanding at all and is completely argumentative and defensive when ONLY DISCUSSING your submitted work. She is without a doubt the worst teacher I ever had in my entire life.

She has been a constant admiration for me ever since CSUMB. I have consulted with governments, advised NGO's, political figures and corporations. Without the core training in global studies from Bhatti I would not be where I am today. Take full advantage of the opp. to learn from her b/c she should be at Stanford or Berkley or UN & shes at CSUMB!
