Grading artwork in our class is supposed to be subjective and, even though she says it is, she makes it objective. Shes looking for specific elements in our work and if we dont have what she wants us to have, she takes points away which leads to most of the students with low grades.

Not teaching. Grading & critiqes are arbitrary, inconsistent and contratictory; Very unreliable with instructions, grading by her own instructions, can not be trusted to be consistent; does not even remember what she "taught" when later asked to clarify. If taught by someone else,there can a learning opportunity from this class

Robyn is the reason my hair is falling out. You can put an extreme amount of effort into a piece of work, and she'll give you a 1 basically you could have turned in a blank page and gotten the same thing, good job. Even if you think that your project is good, her word is god, it doesn't matter. Say goodbye to all your hopes unless you're a favorite

Robyn is very difficult, but fair. She provides a short demo for each project, and that's it. The rest is up to you. Take lots of notes, ask lots of questions and remember to do at least 5 drawings a week in your sketch book because she will not remind you until the end of the semester when she collects it. I like her - so I'm sticking with her

Robyn only tells you what she was looking for AFTER the drawing is due. she trys to see if students can figure it out for themselves, which is VERY frustrating. she won't answer questions because she doesn't want to ruin the thinking process, but then criticizes for not doing what she wanted. she knows art, but is hard to work with.

the worst teacher i have ever had! she is an angry woman who likes to hear herself speak. She enjoys being superior than her students and will play devils advocate even when the class belives you are right.
