Comment:

Full of extremely dry wit and humour, will teach a bit hands off relative to the material, sometimes encouraging a silence that will force questions to be asked, will more than adequately answer questions when asked. Incredibly helpful if visited during office hours. Very lenient on deadlines if you have a reason. Take this if you're doing honours!

In the 1st lab he gave us 3 trays of minerals and a list of min names, said "Have fun." without explaining anything. We had to google to be able to identify them and finish the sheet. And that's basically how he teach for the rest of the materials. However he's very helpful if you teach yourself by watching youtube vids and then ask him questions.

When he speaks it is like listening to a textbook. I adore him, but he really needs to dumb down the material. He is extremely helpful and funny, I just wish this course isn't this hard.

Absolutely horrendous! The final was worth 70% which is completely uneccesary and unfair. I've never seen anything like it. Even though the tests are fair it still puts a person on edge not knowing. The gems and diamonds course.

Doesn't suffer fools gladly- an uncommon and much appreciated commodity at this university. Very funny and very smart. Don't take his courses if you want to be baby-sat through your work (but if you're in university at all you probably shouldn't have that attittude).
