Roger is a nice guy, and a good teacher. Really funny too! Be sure to keep up on material or else you'll fall behind quickly. Tests are tricky, but the final isn't too bad. Volunteer to write on the board in class, sometimes he gives out bonus marks.

Roger is the coolest prof. I ever had.He's somewhat laid back yet not boring when he teaches.He's very clear and straightforward on his lessons.His fave example:the absolute value of a tree/pear. Math is not my forte, but he's really good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! =)

he's a great prof! I had a weak math background before taking his class. I came out with a B+! His notes are very good. And he tells you exactly whats on his midterms. His weekly quizes are helopfull because they show up on midterms.A very approchable teacher! I just wish he taught higher level courses!

I dont recommend him to poeple who has a weak math base. Sometimes, he assumes you know the stuff, so he would just skipped and easily scan through it. I think this course is similar to math 12. hes one of the more interesting math teachers i've had. hes real nice, very clear, and easily accessible for help through e-mail and office hours. i find his classes prety funy, alot of side jokes. a few quizzes worth 15%, good for review. midterms worth 45%, not too difficult. final is much more difficult because it is written by the department

Gotta love this teacher. Roger /ro-her/ is great. He's approachable, respectful, intelligent, and funny. You often see him smiling. His classes are not boring. He tries to explain the topics as clearly as possible. His notes are pretty easy to understand. His exams are hard, though. You really have to study hard for it. You can't slack in this class. Recommended to anyone.

The only reason he could possibly end up not being my teacher in the future is if I leave Langara, or I can't have his class. All the other comments here, are accurate. However, I find the class easy. I haven't done a single one of the homework exercises, and on the midterm I only got 1.5 marks wrong. I admit I am very good at Math.

Very nice teacher, funny and cute:P his jokes keep people awake and i really had a good time in the class. Exams are not extrm difficult but is very long. better be perpared very well ahead and rush all way through them... not very easy to get A. All others are fine~~

Roger is top drawer. Funny, smart, humble, entertaining, it was a pleasure to attend class. The workload was incredible, esp. if you're taking four other courses, but it was worth it. Best math teacher I've ever had. Keeps the class interested and makes jokes. Exams are simple if you do the recommended assignments. Lots of quizzes, but most are take-home. Definitely recommended.
