Simple class, should be an easy A. Couldn't really tell you what went on most of the time, but there was a lot of groupwork, plus no exams. Quizzes online. Participation is about 15-20% of your grade so you need to show up.

He doesn't teach much of anything. Be prepared to learn on your own. Willing to help if you ask, and grades very fairly. His tests are impossible, even with notes. GIVES A TON OF EXTRA CREDIT! If you show up, are polite, and ask questions, he is more than willing to help you out. Very good person, just not a very good teacher.

If you have no ABAP experience you better plan on putting in 20 hours a week to actually learn it. Tests are impossible and totally random from what is covered in class. Seems like a nice guy sometimes, but visit his office and he makes you feel stupid. Most stressful class I've ever had at Central.

One of the best professors ever in MIS department @ Central.The problem with many students is they are unable to cope with his expectation.He wants you to work on your own and learn things your way rather than spoon feeding.He always encourages students to visit him in his office hours if you have a doubt (note: go prepared ..lolz).Best ABAP tutor.

Doesn't actually teach in class, and tests are all based on .pdf files that he doesn't seem to mention. Gives group assignments and doesn't give a very good explanation of what your supposed to do. Doesn't tell you the participation scale ahead of time, if you get him make sure you participate a lot early on!

This guy is a horrible professor. He doesn't teach you anything at all, lectures come directly from some online pdf files he has, but those are not clear at all. There is no tutorial on how to do any of the work he just expects you to know what you are doing and basically teach yourself the class. AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE

Very challenging class. Incredibly difficult MC tests. Take advantage of Class participation and communicate face-to-face with him and you will do okay. Also, know the material, which should go without saying. Good opportunity to improve your knowledge, but you must work hard for it. Tough, but fair and friendly.

He doesn't teach at all. All of a sudden we had a test over chapters 1-5, and he never even went over them. The class is relatively easy, but if you want a helpful professor, take someone else. Lots of group work involved, but that comes with the class.

prepare to teach yourself the entire class. doesnt really go over anything relevent to the reading material in class, so theres no point in going to class most of the time. case work is easy, and he grades them all very easily. i have over 100% in this class, no reason it shouldnt be the easiest A you've ever gotten.

The class is mainly self-taught through reading and study cases and the tests are all vocabulary. Professor Hayen is a nice guy, but sometimes he tends to explain the same things over in different ways and class can be very boring. He also likes class participation. BIS 255 is an easy course and one that you can skip occasionally.

Dr. Hayen is an excellent professor. It is a challenging course, but if you know anything about programming then you will get an A in the class.
