He gives you all the tools you need to succeed. The book is very helpful. All homework was optional but he took questions from the homework for the tests. Attend drill! He works out all the problems and answers all questions.

Dr. Koeppe is an extremely nice man! However, his class was difficult for me! I ended up dropping and changing my major. However, he is very approachable, so if you do have him and love Chem and really try, you can do it! Just read your textbook before class and do all of the homework problems and you should be good! Lectures are dry.

do NOT take this class. he is a very sweet man but he does not explain anything at all in class then tests you on things that you barely know how to do. this class is EXTREMELY hard. if you want to have a good GPA dont take this class

do NOT take ANY of this man's classes!!! he is SO hard!!! the tests are impossible, he doesnt fully go over all of the material, and then goes on to test you about it. he is a nice person, im sure, and very smart...but DOES NOT, i repeat DOES NO belong teaching in a classroom!! just turn around and run if you value your gpa.

Too smart for his own good! Took both Organic Physio Chem and Intro to Biochem. Lectures are dry; very difficult to stay awake. Can make a simple topic seem ridiculously difficult. Nearly impossible to pass any of his tests in Biochem. Went to every class, did all HW, studied 20+ hours for each exam, still made low D's and low C's.

Comment:
One of the best professors on campus. Takes a very difficult subject and makes it understandable. Class is boring, but if chemistry is difficult for you, he makes it much easier. Tests are challenging but you feel confident when you go into them if you go to class and do the homework. GREAT TEACHER! Thanks to him I made an A in organic class.
