Has told our class he didn't even want to teach MGT 258, which is obvious from the remarks on here. Bashes CMU and other staff/past presidents. Thinks very highly of himself. Gives extra points to people who sit in the front row. Tests are impossible. The final cannot hurt your grade, but you better take it and hope you're doing well before hand.

There's no point in going to class or buying the book because he doesn't teach, he just says "What is is" and talks about his life the entire time...nothing relevant to the class, ever. I do not even know where to begin. He is a horrible teacher. DO NOT take this class if you are a bad test taker, for the ONLY grades you get from this course are those related to the quizzes you take throughout the semester (which are very difficult and almost impossible to pass). I think he likes to fail people just for the hell of it.

Lectures are interesting and definitely keeps you awake. If you don't want him to get up close and personal in class avoid the first row at all costs. Tests every other Thursday that are quite difficult and pretty vague. If you go to class you get a lot of extra credit which helps a lot. Overall, good guy.

I dont even know where to start with Ron. He thinks very highly of himself and talks down to his students. Most of his "real world" examples are more about how much money he has or his personal endeavors than the actual material. Tests are hard to study for and full of trick questions. He will cause a scene if you are late or fall asleep. STAY AWAY

Stay away from this class!!! He's an overall good guy. But really doesn't give a care about anyones grades or anyone in general other than himself. He literally is one of those teachers who "tries" to trick you on quizzes and exams. Looking over some of his questions on the quizzes when you're studying for the exam will make you realize this too!

Very good teacher in my opinion, but doesn't provide students with good study material. All you have is the notes and the book, but book use is low. Not a lot of questions on tests from the book. If you go to class, pay attention and take good notes, studying for the tests shouldn't be troublesome.

This teacher was horribly unclear as to what material he actually wanted you to learn from his lectures and out of the book. His quizes were hard in the sense that, students have no idea what to study. He is completely unapproachable, and can be seen as having a rude attitude towards students.All in all I would suggest against taking his class.

I took his class during a 6 week summer course. for 3 weeks he called me by the wrong name in most of his examples everyday. He grades his test hard and marked everyone wrong on a T or F question that asked "given enough time and resources, groups make better decisions than individuals" he said it was wrong because it didnt say "average individual"

Upside: MGT isn't one of the most exciting subjects but it turned out to be one of the most interesting classes I've taken. He is a talented professor. He knows a lot about his subject matter and makes it more interesting than thought possible. Probably the best TEACHER I've had at CMU. DOWNSIDE: He's strict and exam's are a bit hard.

Most things said on here so far are true. He does explain things really well, is hilarious, and makes it interesting. He is a jerk if you try to use the bathroom or are late or anything and it gets annoying. Tests are really confusing, not impossible, but definitely harder than they should be. Thinks very highly of himself and lets you know it.

HARD class. It took me a while to figure out how to study, but pretty much memorize the notes you take in class, and know the defenitions from the chapters. I'd reccomend taking another prof if you can.
