Very nice gentleman,but he should be teaching a RACE class because that is what he focuses on. He does not give out power points that he teaches from. Test are not to what he speaks of!!

I liked him. Daydream-worthy lectures at times, but nothing I couldn't handle. Approachable in the office if you have concerns. Easy on the eyes and his voice is quite captivating.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This is the WORST instructor I have ever encountered. He teaches based on his opinions, not facts. He does not present current data. His PowerPoint lectures are outdated. It was literally painful to listen to his nonsensical babbling and ranting. Nearly impossible to 4.0 class, grading scale is not standardized.

This is truly one of the most worse classes I have ever taken at MSU. Obvious that the information and data given in the powerpoint are all out of date. The information is all based on the professor's point of view and his opinions. The grading scale is super bad with only 100 points possible (1 final and 1 midterm), impossible to 4.0 the class!

Parts of the class are interesting. He had really interesting presenters. The grade is pretty easy (he had us decide what we wanted to be graded on). Nice guy. But he does wander around. If you want a clear idea of what you're doing and what you need to be learning, this class isn't for you.

Avoid at all costs: his entire class is a tangent one completely unrelated topic after another. The expectations for the course assgns change each time he refers to them, and his grading scale is basically subject to his whim of the moment. The little data that he does have is DECADES old and many times incorrect.

He rarely talks about what we were supposed to. Totally focused on issues of race and if you disagreed with him (god forbid) he shot you down. boring class, easy 3.5 but completely useless. don't take, even if you want an easy class it just isn't worth it.

Professor Hall has an original theory ("Cool Pose")the full conceptual implications of which have yet to be fleshed out. I think theoretical advance is extremely rare in SocWk as the field exists primarily as a range of practical activities. I guess you got to be somewhat familair enough with the conceptual field to respond to a new concept like
