I dreaded going to this class. He rambles on and on and on about stuff that isn't relevant. Hard to understand. I got a 78 in the class and on everything I handed in - a bit strange, no? So do well on the first assignment, it seems like this determines your overall grade. I love art (it's my major) but he made it uninteresting.

He is very well orginized and the assignments he gives out are actually kind of fun! but the class is veryyy dry! its only when he cracks jokes that i think he's hilarious! overall good prof and fair marker!

Great prof!!! The class was a little slow at times, but this was the subject matter, not the prof. It was cool that we got to actually do art, too, especially because this was a 100 level class. Don't take this class, however, if all you want to do is DO art. Rory teaches about how to analyze art. Anyways, great prof, average class.

Rory was a great professor, I found almost everything we learned in class interesting, and it really helped me look at art from a different perspective. I got a lot out of this class and would recomend it to anyone. Definetly my favorite prof this semester

Rory's a bit spacy and easily flustered (and likes to ramble), but he *really* knows the medium and is glad to help you with whatever you're working towards. Be sure to ask questions and touch base with him if you're feeling lost - he's extremely helpful if he is made aware of your problems.

This man is wonderful, he is an absolute well of knwoledge. Granted he can talk your ear off and is a little spacey, he is so helpful, and incredible at explaining things. However READ THE SYLOBUS he does expect what is on there to be accolmplished, but he does not baby you and read it to you in class

I'm definitely not artistic, but I really got an appreciation for art through this class. He is very tactful and considerate of different viewpoints. My suggestion is, bring a laptop so that you can write enough down to remember it afterward!

He's a nice guy buy OH MY GOD does this man stutter!! The lectures are confusing enough to begin with but throwing 8 "ums" into a sentence just to say the artists name is ridiculous. His assignments are interesting and the tests are fair. More on the lectures than the text. Make sure to take detailed notes on the paintings and you'll do ok

This class was horrid extremely BORING. I couldn't stand listening to this man talk about lines for an hour and a half. He is very unclear and unorganized, and forgot to bring ass. to class to hand back and even lost many of them! Marks papers harshly..Little help with prep. for exams other than to throw 50 slides of paintings at you to memorize.

He's awesome. Sometimes hard to follow in class, but makes up for it in niceness. If you study hard and memorize art slides, the class goes a lot better. Buy the textbook! You'll need it for supplementary reading, as notes are not enough!
