Good professor, but gets off topic. Some interesting material of his own synthesis - lectures are decent. Group work and biweekly assignments promote thought and discussion. Approachable and helpful; hard not to enjoy him and his class.

He is a nice guy, but gets sidetracked easily and ends up teaching nothing much. Will talk about "The Office" for 20 minutes! I was pretty stunned at the lack of learning in this class. Very little material covered. Waste of time? I'm not sure I just left the class wondering what I had been listening too. Easy course.

This class was definitely not what I had expected it to be. Dr. Broughton is clearly very smart and good at what he does, but definately not the greatest professor. Lectures are very boring, vauge and actually somewhat pointless. Read the textbook (which there is a lot of reading assinged, so beware), show up for group work and you can do fine.
