Very very helpful, but tests are tough if you don't do the study guide. The lectures are easy to understand but he does not teach much out of the book so the hw assignments from the book are tough.

Great guy. Not a great professor. Right now, we're about three weeks behind schedule, but he still finds time to go on useless, stupid tangents for half the class. It takes him 15-20 minutes to work through a two-step arithmetic problem. If you want an easy A, the class is doable. If you want to learn anything, take a different professor.

Although the class content and coursework is fairly easy, Dr. Burkhart goes at a snail's pace for the class. There is no such thing as efficiency in his class, and he will go on various tangents during his lectures. He explains things well, is accommodating, and will respond to emails quickly, but not great if you want to learn the coursework.

The class is a lot of work, but if you follow his guidelines it's quite easy. He gives you an agenda and if you follow it, you can't fail. He has YouTube video tutorials for further assistance, and offers great office hours. He's very understanding and helpful. His grading feedback is very good, as well. He gets to know his students, even online.

Dr. Burkhart is the best thing to ever happen in the world of stats professors. The text book explains things in a way that make you want to throw it in a paper shredder. But then Dr. Burkhart will explain the same concept and make it crystal clear. Can not say enough great things about this man. I would take him again and again

What a fine fine man. A Nobel Prize, Academy Award, Grammy Award winning type of guy. My cat was stuck up in a tree once and he explained a multiple regression analysis with such enthusiasm that she crawled down all on her own just to listen. Take everything from him.
