Comment:

Passionate and caring, but the actual courses arent great. Lectures are sometimes rambling. Exams often focus on arbitrary information and include an essay that the student must memorize sources for which is nonsensical. 372 is informative, Id recommend it. 260 focuses much more on the history of religion than politics, I would not recommend it.

Thought this would be an easy class, but it really is not. The exams are hard and kinda long. You learn so much in class but the exams seem to focus on weird things. The information is interesting, however. Dr. Amore is also very knowledgeable, and he has great stories to share. He is nice also, answers your questions.

Comment:

Amore is a fantastic prof. He's incredibly knowledgeable, and you can tell that he likes what he's teaching. He gives you every opportunity to succeed - he even highlights information on his power points that are exam material. The textbook reinforces the lectures, if you've missed a class you could definitely just read the chapter to catch up.

Dr. A is a really nice guy that will bend over backwards to help you or answer a question. He posts slides and you do need to do some of the readings if you want a high mark. His tests give you the option to write about what you want so pay attention to current issues. Details in multiple choice but very broad essay questions. Very smart.

He is a great person; however, his expectations are a little too high. His exams are ridiculously hard. You basically have to have the whole chapter memorized as well as the research essay he gives for each one. His voice is a little monotone so even though the material is interesting its possible you will have to skip class to avoid sleeping

Had a host of personal stories from Asia. Super knowledgeable and interesting. Very approachable and helpful if you need 1 on 1. I'd recommend. Probably my favorite professor.

He's definitly my favorite prof in U of W. very knowledgeable and helpfull. his class is full of interesting stories and talk to him whenever you have problems! highly recommend asian politics and religions class with him!!!!!!!

What a great guy! His lectures were very interesting, and he genuinely cared about the subjects and the students. I found the exams to be brutal even after I read the text and attended lectures. Mainly fill in the blanks and S.A.. Def. take this class if religion interests you.

You'll never meet a more nicer, caring professor. When he says he wants you to succeed, he GENUINELY means it. If you prepare for his exams, getting 80% and above is attainable. Attend as many lectures as possible because he puts a few trick questions in there for those who don't attend (relying on web notes). He's also VERY approachable.

Comment:

Dr.Amore is the greatest political science professor at the University of Windsor. He is friendly and he is extremely approachable. His classes are well taught, and he posts lecture slides online, so you can just concentrate on the lecture and not on writign what he's saying! EXCELLENT PROF, strongly recommended :)
