Dr. Twaddle is the "King of Ambiguity" he does this purposely as he feels its a great learning experience. Add to that, virtual teams and this class is sheer hell. Too much time is committed to online communications, trying to solve his riddled instructions and then completing the task. Half the class dropped out after the first 2 weeks! HELL!

I took this course (MBA 502) ONLINE in Summer 2013. DO NOT take this course online. The course itself is ok, but the way this professor has designed it is a torture! This professor believes in the "power of ambiguity"! Assignments / instructions are not clear. There is "discussion", assignment, and quiz due each week! Madness! Pure madness!

Wow.. Just wow.. This guy honestly thinks his class is the only thing you will be doing during the 13 weeks of the semester. Its ridiculous the amount of work necessary to get things done on time for him. Quiz and assignment every week, accompanied with 1-2 chapters. Avoid at all costs!

This guy is ridiculous he does not teach you one thing..You must read the book and take your own notes while reading to do well in this class....Online quizzes every Friday, which aren't bad if you read the book because the questions and answers are straight from the text...Make sure to start the marketing plan early!

Regarding online class: Very demanding, requires checking in everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. Actually work is not that difficult or hard to understand but constant online communication and deadlines are burdensome. Learned a lot about working with other people, definitely worth the effort but make sure you have time and flexibility

Overall, Twaddle is an easy professor. Takes attendance everyday. The final is worth 40% of your grade and it is accumulative. Quizzes every Friday- the first few are taken in the Ballentine Lab and the rest are taken at home. 1 Pop Assignment which is easy (15 group presentation) and you can choose to do another one for extra credit. Easy A

Great professor! Quizzes seem hard in the beginning, but after the first 2 or so they're taken at home. Final was easy. If you read and do the practice questions for the quizzes, then you will be fine. Pop Assignments, and one big Marketing Plan project. Take with Twaddle!

Not a bad teacher, makes himself very available to students. Responds within an hour to most messages. Does not really teach the class, you learn through reading the book outside class and paying attention to the pop assignments presented. Quizzes are easy if you read beforehand, not too tough of a grader if you follow instructions word for word.

Great teacher, very funny and internet savvy. Class not too hard, ten quizzes, one a week, and comprehensive final. Learn a lot, just read and take practice quizzes and will do ok. Marketing plan is a lot, but done in groups. Pop assignments are not too hard, volunteer in beginning of sem. Good prof to have.

Comment:

He is one of the best teachers I have taken at URI. He expects a lot out of you, but you get more in return. I not only learned what was expected of me from his style of presentation, he also engaged me to continue researching topics I was interested in. I would highly recommend him for MBA 500 and I wish I could take more MBA clases with him.
