He's always available and really wants you to learn. You have to earn your grade in his class, but he really gets you interested in the subject. As a WARNING, he likes to teach at 8am.

There's an old saying about Smith's classes: "85 to 100 is an A, but no one makes an 85." I, however, figured out the trick. Dr. Smith wants you to understand WHY things work, not HOW to use them. Understanding (not memorizing) the proof is essential to passing his class, not working the formulas. Be sure to read the book ahead of class; it helps.

Do not take Mr. R.P Smith. He is very unclear. He only cares about himself and is very rude all of the time. I also seen him becoem very upset when you would ask him about a problem with your homework. He is terrible.......

Do not take this clown. He does not help in class, nor does he teach well. I studied and did all my homework and when i went to class and asked questions about the homework he would get mad. He is very hard to understand. He gives no partial credit on his exams. YOu can have 9/10's of the problem correct and its worth nothing.

I don't know what everyone has against him. Maybe they failed and are bitter? His exams are challenging and make you think, but you don't have to ace them to ace the class. He pays attention to those who do their homework and participate in class. He's always available for help and will work through the homework for you if you're having trouble.

By far the worst professor I have ever had. Why he is still teaching here, I may never know. He hardly ever makes sense in class and never answers my email or helps me out outside of class. He does have a strange sense of humor, like the other ratings say. If you have the option of taking him or another professor, take ANY other one over him!!

R.P. is a great teacher, he does have a very warped sense of humor, but that just keeps the class entertaining. His tests are extremely difficult, but it is because of that challenge that those who past will suceed in other areas. I would take him again for another course if possible!

Dr. Smith is a great guy. His class, however, is rather difficult. If you ever need help he's there for you, but the problem is he's smarter than we mere mortals. Most of his explanations went over my head and I'm on Trustee's Scholarship.
