It was difficult to know what he will have on his exams because he speeds througgh lecture material and doesnt iterate the type of questions he asks. First exam half the class did mediocre because they did not know what to expect. He isnt always well perceptive toward students questions if he figures it is something you should know.

Didn't explain assignment expectations and failed almost the whole class. Went for help before the final and he lied about what to study telling me not to study certain things then it showed up on the final. I took 308 before and he was great but he's gone down hill...FAR downhill and now he's just an ****

Russ Dawson is a modern-day Grizzly Adams, he is extremly knowledgeable about all branches of biology but combines his academic learning with practical experience gained from years of research and BC. Russ eats rocks and****s gunpowder, and can kill Caribou with his bare hands.

this prof is by far the greatest ever, he knows what he is talking about, makes lectures fun, approachable, tests are fair, notes are extremely good, very professional, no wonder he got the teacher of the year award for 2004! Wow...I loved Russ! I'm not a biology major, but he made ecology interesting, and his notes were very helpful for studying. Very good tests, and he's always willing to help you outside of class. I love this guy....almost wanted to switch majors! CUTE!
