Kolt's is one of the best profs EWU has. One of my friends one day said "you never ever see a group of kids enter a classroom with such mutual emotions and literally every single student leaves with a smile." Kolt's cares about all of his students and genuinely want his students to succeed. 10/10 would recommend

Kolts is a great professor. If you pay attention in class and study for the two tests, you'll do well. He is a very liberal professor and happens to bring politics up a lot in class which is not what I pay for, but other than that, his classes are solid and interesting.

EWU is lucky to have such a great, caring, and dedicated professor. He teaches in a way that makes students want to learn the material. And he wants all his students to succeed, which say a lot about him. He is truly a wonderful professor and you love taking his class!!!

prof kolts is so caring and is deeply passionate about his compassion focused therapy, although we had almost a weekly paper they were not hard to write and were based off of what you got from the readings. he was super understanding about life situations and i would take him again in a heartbeat such a great class

Dr. Kolts is the best math teacher I have EVER had! He is so passionate about helping you to understand. He does not rush the class he wants to make sure you understand before moving on. The second test is a take home test. As long as you come to class you'll be fine. He does offer extra credit. He is just so encouraging about believing in yourself

Dr. Kolts is one of my favorite professors at EWU. I've taken several classes from him. He's a remarkable teacher and an amazing person overall. He motivates you in class and also inspires you to be a better person in the world. He's funny, supportive, adorable, kind and helpful in all aspects. EWU is lucky to have him. Take him if you can!

Comment:

I've taken Mindfulness, Abnormal Psych, and now CFT from Kolts. Abnormal was by far his best class perhaps because the material was interesting, not him. I was excited after taking abnormal so I signed up for several of his classes and was extremely disappointed. He just repeats the same boring stuff every day in every class. Would not recommend.

Kolts is one of the best professors on campus! I received a 3.8 in his stats class this last quarter. He is CLEAR, he teaches very patiently and explains everything in more than one way so every student has a shot at getting a good grade in the class. The only way you can fail is by not showing up. Our math department could learn a lot from him!!!

Dr. Kolts is a great professor. Statistics can be confusing if not explained properly, and he is awesome at explaining. He really cares about his students and wants them to pass. I would highly recommend taking him for Stats! If you go to lecture every day and do the homework, you will pass.

Russell is by far the best professor I have had at EWU! He is funny, keeps the class lively, and goes out of his way to make students succeed. I am not a math person, but he made me like this class. The only way that you will not pass this class is if you don't do the work.

Mindfulness was a wonderful class! Kolts is a great teacher and really cares about what he teaches. Go to class, learn and get a 4.0 it's that easy. Very rewarding class :)
