Prof. Goldfarb is very interesting. Challenging, but does have a kind side. Makes odd statemtnd sometimes. Very hard to please, but she tells you upfront that she doesn't give A+. Too bad she retired in Jan. '07 -- loved her class, great lady.

one of the worst ive had. the only time ive ever been kicked out of a class was in hers only because i didnt read the night before funny part about that was my friends got up with me and we all walked out together took points off my paper because i refused to mention my classmates names in final paper where she wanted us to "gossip" about eachother

Prof. Goldfarb is lively and far from boring. All she expects from students is that they read and be able to discuss what has been read. No notes cause after all it is an oral communications course ;-) Too bad she is retiring I really would have loved to have her for Public Speaking. ;-)

Don't take her! She is a tough grader. You have to make an outline of your speech for her and God help you that outline better be exactly the way she showed you. Gives textbook reading assignments and then has you take difficult quizzes on the chapters. I couldn't stand her. It's impossible to give a speech that meets her standards.

The most unfair and unprofessional grader I have had at Nassau. If she doesn't like your choice of subjects, no matter how well you do, you'll be graded poorly. Very uptight and narrow minded, allows for no artistic license whatsoever.

I loved this class. It puts you at ease for talking in public. Gives a lot of work for the first couple of weeks of the semester. But stick with it because for the rest of the time you do nothing in class except listen to others give speeches.

Very nice woman. Wasn't very hard class but grading was a little harsh but still managed to get a B+. she makes you give about 5 or more speeches on anything informative. Although i have completed this course, she still is always there to help me.

I loved this class! She made public speaking less frightful. Very interactive class and all the students got close to each other because it was so open. The speaches got easier to make throughout the semester b/c of her helpful tips. Take this class and enjoy it!
