He comes across as a little over confident, but he is truly a good teacher and a very good person at heart. He genuinely cares about his students. He is always willing to listen to his students. He will return to you the same respect you give him. It was a pleasure knowing him, too bad Oregon State got him. Hope they appreciate his talent.

Mehl's way of interacting with students kind of offended me at first, but I came to realize that he really cares about the students. His teaching style is a little complicated, but I learned a lot from this guy. He's a challenge, but definitely worth the struggle.

Mehl is the man. His quizzes and tests sucked, and he doesn't give out any kind of curve, but you WILL know your chemistry at the end of the semester (or fail trying). Plus, he's a really awesome guy and honestly cares about you as a student too. He's always making a scene at bball games too!

Likeable guy. Made me cry every day. He has a way of making you like him and hate him at the same time. To be fair, I learned a lot in his class. However, his method of teaching and the resulting grade I received were needlessly vicious.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! His lectures will be the best in your entire life! Don't expect his class to be easy, but if you need help, just ask, his door is always open! Chem Dept needs more people like him!! Comes off as a cocky **** at first, but underneath it all he is a **** cat. Smart as Hell!

An outstanding motivator. He is willing to work with anyone, and he also works very hard to make sure you KNOW chemistry. However, he only works as hard as you are willing to, and he expects near perfection. Despite his difficulty and sometimes unwelcomed candor, he is the best teacher I have had.
