I'd never take this woman again. She does not relate to students at all and her expectations for her assignments are unclear. The book does not really go with her lectures, but you have ti get it anyway because she pulls random things from it on tests to make sure we're reading.

Very nice and helpful. She uses videos and personal stories in class that help out a lot. Her tests are ridiculous though and she is a firm believer on making you read everything in every chapter of the book. I would suggest taking her, but be ready to work.

Her final was so confusing/odd that you had no idea what she was even asking. She isn't bad though...and you can deff get an A. The porfolio will seem like busy work. Make sure you understand her..she takes off on the portfolio for things she told you to do. Overall nice laby and helful..just a tad confusing. Class is relevent and helpful.

She's not a horrible teacher, just not someone I would take again. She has her own well-established world view, and several times in class she twisted students' comments into making her own statments. Her tests are sometimes difficult and sometimes insane--genius level only. Random busy-work assignments that weren't really applicable to class.

I had Mrs. Widner for Abnormal Psych for the summer session and let me first say she is very knowledgeable in her field. I really enjoyed her class. Her exams are a little hard because questions come from majority reading the text and some from her notes. She gives extra credit to help :) I would recommend this professor!

a good teacher, class seemed longer than 50 minutes. the test seemed easy but when you get the results you see they were not as expected. come to class and prepare for test or you will be at a loss. good teacher and very helpful just make sure you prepare for test. If you cant pass her class you are just not trying.

She is a really good professor. I've only had her during the summer (in the one month session). Her tests were multiple choice, but not necessarily easy. You need to read the book and take notes in class. If you do those two things, you should be fine.

i had her for abnormal and aging and absolutely loved her. if you do the reading and take notes, you'll do fine. very enthusiastic. kind of a bland teaching style, but you'll come out of the class with a decent grade and KNOWLEDGE on the material. i highly recommend her.

I took this class over the summer, and maybe it was because we met twice a week for 3 hrs at a time, but I dreaded going to class. She and I didn't hit it off, which is unusual for me to not get along with a teacher. She is very knowledgable and informed in her area, but can exhibit a condensending manor from time to time.

Very enthusiastic and enjoys what she's teaching! One of the best at ASU! Take her! Very personable and you can ask her questions anytime! Warning: Read, read, read!!! doesn't cover even 1/4 of the test material in lecture, and 3/4 of the test comes from the book. Material isn't that hard and it's very interesting! Gives extra credit.

Dr. Widner is perhaps the best professor I have ever had in any subject. I graduated from the MS program 2 years ago and use the knowledge I gained from her almost daily. She is incredible!
