Easy class. Attendance is worth 10%! He has online quizzes are all mc. Review online mc on each section because you'll see many on his midterm & final from there. He gives 10 study guide questions and picks 2 questions from them for the midterm & final. If you don't do well on midterm he'll replace your midterm mark with your final if you do better

Easy tests, study questions are given ahead of time and 2 will be on test for sure. Each study question is worth 20 marks out of 100. Mc questions are all from textbook. Easy A. No point in attending lectures, you can get everything from the book, boring lectures but he does attendance so if you really want 10% bonus then go to class.

He is a decent prof. He actually cares about how his students are doing, if you are confused about something or need help, ask him for it and he will do his best. His lectures are long and boring, but they are informative, so pay attention to the powerpoint. Overall, you listen to some lectures and read the textbook, you'll do well.

He means well, but he isn't clear about the material and the textbook does not make the material clear. The 2205: sociology of deviance is the greatest waste of time in my educational history; this class isn't for indiviudals wishing to pursue higher knowledge, this class studies bogus theories that are absolutely ridiculous and outdated.

I enjoyed Albanese classes so much. I took three class with him. He is very well educated on Sociology and specially explaining it through theoretical perspective. One good thing about Albanese lectures is that he bring Sociology and Philosophy together; a very good approach in learning how to be a critical thinker. You will learn real sociology.

Don't take his course especially if you're a first year student. Readings are pretty super hard, and I'm not kidding. Be ready to use the dictionary to define vocabulary you don't know.. and there's a ton of that. Was not prepared for readings to be this difficult. Defs not A- average for sure. Lectures are boring and he goes way too fast.

Everyone giving bad reviews should grow up and realize that with the increasing number of students showing illiteracy in colleges AND universities, you are lucky that he gives second chances. And lecturing is what universities professors do so get used to the talking. Also, professors are REQUIRED to use certain online programs such as D2L

I took Salvatore's class for my first semester at Langara, and while I was unaware of the comments on this site I found that he actually is not anywhere near as bad as he has been rated. If you pay attention, do the assignments and attend class you will do great. I did...

who said he is an easy prof? HE IS DEFINITELY THE WORST PROF AND WORST PERSON I HAVE EVER SEEN! very unclear instructions and multiple mistakes, basically there is no structure of this class. 5 of the 5% each for the weekly quizzes, group assignment, one midterm, one final plus attendance is mandatory. dropped the class at last

Salvadore is an awful professor who has no sense of objective or how to teach. He will spend forty minutes on one slide giving different examples for the same concept and then leave upwards of twenty slides untaught. Someone leaves his class every five minutes because he's so boring. Do not take his class, he is absolutely the worst.

Sal likes to lecture but leaves no time for discussion which is unfortunate. He can be a bit boring and bad with technology, but it's not a big deal. The class is very easy, he lets you know exactly what will be on the exam. It's a forgettable, lecture heavy class that you should be able to breeze through. Not every prof needs to sing and dance.

i hate him! He's not a bad person, but he's definitely not the ideal teacher. He uses d2l in this course, and he absolutely has no idea what he's doing. The first 3 classes, we wasted time waiting for him to figure out and explain d2l. In the end, he still could not figure it out! Overall, he's just a stubborn old man.

I've attended every class yet i havent learned anything. He is so unclear and not helpful at all. The only way you can get a hold of him is by leaving him a voicemail. Stay far away.. he means well and has an old man's point of view. its 2013 lets get with the times. Doesnt care about students either.

Easy class. Sal is soft spoken and a bit air-headed sometimes, but keep an ear open during his long lectures and do the readings and you're set. A lot of students feel that attendance is not mandatory and that is true, though he does make it worth 5% so it's your call. He offers a lot of make up assignments etc. Easy, but uninspiring.

Great prof, very helpful, incredible depth and breadth of knowledge, but Old School: Shut your phone off, show up every class, listen quietly when he speaks, do the readings before class like he asked you to, and you'll learn a lot and do well
