If you're not scared of math, then you're really going to love this guy. He's very friendly, energetic, and is one of the few professors on earth who will explain math and stats in easy to understand terms. The only downside is that the textbook is minimally used but still required to pass. Will definitely take him again in the future.

Dr. Wilcock is a great prof. but his knowledge in statistics is so advanced that I think he forgets he is not speaking to someone at his degree level about the subject. Other than that Dr. Wilcock is a great guy and I respect him. Just work hard and definitely pay attention because you will need help understanding.

When I initially read reviews on Dr. Wilcock, I assumed his class would be really tough, but as long as you pay attention in class and take a little bit of time outside of class to practice the material, this class wasn't too bad. He made lectures both enjoyable and understandable.

Dr Wilcock took the world's most boring subject and made it bearable. He goes off on a lot of tangents unrelated to course material, but unless statistics is exciting to you you will appreciate it. Great prof!

I took this during Jterm. He is VERY picky about grading. Didn't show enough work but had the answer right?- WRONG. He will even deduct points for "showing too much work" even if the answer is right. Is not great at explaining, however, is much better and helpful in person during his office hours. He throws a lot of shade during class btw.

Wilcock is a very knit-picky grader, but he is very helpful and provides good explanations of the material. Would recommend taking his class during J-Term.

This delightful professor finds it fun to test you on things he never went over that cannot be found on quizzes, in your notes or in the book. He's also the type to never give anyone 100. There always has to be SOMETHING that's wrong, because no one is perfect, except for him of course.

Professor is great! If you're willing to work hard, you will learn a lot from his class. Interested in students, always happy to help if you come to office hours with question. Explains things well in class and offers relevant examples. Would highly recommend him for any class!

Generally a good professor. Only thing is that he is a very nit-picky grader, taking points off of a lot of little particular things, and some times goes on about random things too much. I recommend taking him if you like knowing WHY you're doing what you're doing because he explains that pretty well.

The only way to succeed in this class is to know everything prior to taking it. You won't learn anything from his "teaching".

He teaches the material well, and then goes over problems the next class. Overall, i would recommend him. His tests, however, tend to be difficult. He picks problems that are intentionally tricky, so be sure to study everything. He does the same things for graded homeworks, so be sure to find a friend in the class to get through it.

DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. His only grades were quizes and tests that he did not adequately prepare you for. When you struggle and ask him for help... he is of no use. He gives you no straight answers.. I hear he is better than Eby.. but why settle for the lesser of two evils.. take in the Spring.. and if not hold on for dear life..

Not my favorite prof, was frustrated alot with grading policy. No curve, counted the placement test as a test grade, and never really taught; he just answered questions. Not a terrible teacher, just not my learning style

The class feels like middle school math at first so you will be bored to death but i actually started learning things at the end. It's pretty basic and you get note cards for the tests. He tends to ramble on about unnecessary things but he's good at explaining the material.

Dr. Wilcock is amazing. I have never really liked a math class of any variety until now. He gets really excited about Statistics and makes a potentially dull subject very interesting. He quizzes all of the time, but honestly the class isn't that hard if you keep up on the work. I recommend him highly!

kinda hard. but thats cause i haven't taken math since high school and it was my junior year. would advise taking stats during j-term so you can devote your time to it if you're not a math person like i did. good professor though clear teaching, very helpful. knew when students weren't getting it and would slow down to help them.
