Overwhelming workload and boring/annoying writing topics. I used to enjoy writing, but this class made me absolutely HATE it.

Selected readings are excellent/highly culturally proficient. Teacher however was unresponsive and defensive. She did not take responsibility for checking her emails and Spam folder. Despite receiving evidence that essays were submitted by email, she sent a hostile response cc'ing the Department Administrative Assistant. Eventually, she conceded.

I took Sandra's summer class and while the course was very intensive/fast-paced, she understood and was willing to work with students who were determined to learn. She allowed essay re-writes and extended time, if needed. She was available to chat via email or on the phone and was very pleasant. I'd take another class with her!

English is not my cup of tea. That being said, Sandra was so helpful in pulling the out the writing side I didn't know I had. I took her online hybrid class and I found her so helpful; in class and during office hours. She allows redo's on papers for a better grade and really wants her students to learn. I enjoyed her style and would take her again

extremely easy A. Just do the work and write what she wants. The most annoying thing as a student that has been on top of my assignments is that she gives so many re-dos on essays and accepts late assignments for almost full credit to others so whats the point of being on time? She also says she is there to help but rarely responds to emails.

I like this class, even with the fact it has been 13 years since I took English in any form. First English class I took as I got placed in it. 6 units, each containing a quiz, discussion and essay. Start citing correctly in Unit 1 with MLA formatting, your grades will be better. Make sure your assessment essay is MLA formatted, you will be great.

This is by far one of the WORST teachers I have ever had. She is so confusing and is not organized at all. She makes students feel stupid during her class. And although she is not a hard grader her help is useless. She is so hard to approach and has a smirk on her face when she makes rude comments. DO NOT TAKE HER.

This teacher is absolutely rude! Everything about her class is unclear and she cuts you off! She doesn't explain anything well at all however the assignments are pretty easy and she grades fairly. I am not happy with her class and how she sometimes talks back to her students. i wouldn't recommend her to another student. I've had better.

I've had her at both SSU and SRJC. Both times she was unclear and made things up about what she expected us to do in class. Her emails made NO sense but got mad at US when we would ask for clarification. Not worth the time or grade.

Sandra was an amazing teacher, I took a hybrid class and it was wonderful. Discussions are engaging and what I like most is that she let you re-write essays' for a higher grade! It was a little hard but it's ENG1A and four units. I highly recommend although make sure to go to every class!

THE best teacher to take for 1A! Very sweet and funny. Interesting and engaging class discussions. Let's you rewrite essays until you get an A. Sandra really gives learning an entire new meaning. You'll learn how to think analytically - a great skill to have for college. I came out of that class with a new perspective on everything! Amazing class.

This woman loves what she does. She may be the most unorganized, scatter-brained instructor I've had at SRJC..But she knows what she's doing. If you stick with it, read everything, and do the essays, you will leave her class with a whole new perspective. If you actually want to LEARN, take this class!

After the first few weeks half of our class had dropped. The work can seem somewhat intimidating at the beginning, but if you keep on top of it and really apply yourself you can do well. Her essays can be challenging, especially the final, but she lets you re-write your essays as many times as you want, and can be really helpful.

Feldman scared off half of the class with the work load at the beginning but it was very rewarding sticking through it. I feel very accomplished finishing the class and the teacher was very helpful and understanding. This class was a challenge but it is worth it, you will grow immensely.

I truly hated the class in the beginning of the semester, but stuck with it and ending up getting a ton out of the class. It actually became one of my favorite classes I have ever had. She is a phenomenal instructor and honestly cares about how her students are doing academically, emotionally, and mentally.

This is a great class to take. The course work is essays, reading with journal entries, and quizzes on the reading. She lets you revise your essays as many times as you want to get an A. Class discussions are fun and she is very helpful after hours. She gives you all the info you need for essays. Easy A if you just apply yourself
