Her tests are hard, but she always lets you retake them, and drops the lowest one. Very helpful, very sweet, one of my favorite professors. She cares deeply for her students.

Very sweet lady, I've learned more from the first seven weeks in class than I had the first year in the previous French classes I had with Pons (but don't get me wrong, Pons is great, too!). Very good professor.

Dr. Malicote is everything a college professor should be. She's brilliant, witty, kind and challenging. I'm terrible and scared in French but enjoyed coming to this class! UNCA will lose big when she retires.

Dr Malicote is the kind of professor you run into rarely. She's genuinely interested in her students' success, the world and, of course, the material. She puts everything she has into her teaching and it shows. The secret to doing well with her is to find something within the course that impassions you or bring the coursework into your life somehow

Dr. Malicote is truly amazing. She is one of those people you meet who just seems to know everything about everything, yet is still fascinated by the world. She is not a professor, she is really an educator. It's obvious she loves what she does and you can't help but love her for it. Her classes are easy as long you do something.

Dr. Malicote is a wonderful professor! She shows a true interest in her students, and is always willing to help outside of class! The key to passing her classes is to develp a true interest in and a connection with the material-she can show you how! I graduated last Fall and was really sad leave Dr. Malicote behind! The previous user obviously doesn't understand what it takes to be in College,ESPECIALLY in a language class! It takes constant attention to detail, time and devotion to your studies; Attendance is a MUST! Dr. Malicote's intelligence and strength of conviction shines through! A++

I have and will take more than 1 class with Dr. Malicote. It's my major. She is extremely concerned and is ALWAYS there when you need her. If you ask a question in class, it gets answered. If you get behind in the syllabus, that's OK, "We'll just always be two classes behind." She's extremely understanding of all situations and always can help

I took French I with another faculty member and hated it, so I waited for Malicote and am glad I did so. My grade reflects the amount of time I put into the class - if you study consistently and listen to her lectures you will do fine because she is an excellent and kind teacher - she really helped me overcome my fear/hatred of foreign language.
