Comment:

Terribly unclear and unhelpful. When you approach him asking what he wants for a paper, he says "whatever you want", then marks your paper wrong (in bad English) if it is not what he was looking for. Also, he does not email you a response for several days. He trails off and talks about insignificant background during lectures, hard to take notes.

Comment:

As a person, Mora is nice. He tells great stories and his accent is easy to understand after a couple classes with him. His essays are horrible, he doesn't tell you what he wants, and when you ask, says "do whatever you want" basically then marks you wrong. If you know what he wants though, easy grade. Questions of the week are an easy 20%.

Excellent prof. An accent is absolutely not the worst thing you will come across in university. Brilliant man, wonderful stories. Truly enjoys his subject. Always willing to help find articles and readings to work with essays and projects.

I've taken two classes with Dr. Mora, he's a great guy, very friendly, and an easy A if you know what he's looking for. Email him the weekly questions, it's an easy 20%, you can usually make up questions from the article abstracts. Your mark comes from the questions and papers on your choice of topic, lectures are mostly for interest. Recommended!!

Awesome guy, really friendly and accomidating. Has an accent that's fun to listen to, and easy to understand with time. Easy marker if you do the work. Sometimes hard to drag yourself to class because you are never responsible for the information he presents unless you choose to do your paper on that topic.

Accent is hard to understand at first but once you get used to him he is really funny and adorable. Work is challenging if your not interested in it, and your giving very little guidance leading to poor marks, he kinda just expects you to know everything. READ THE BOOK! his notes on the whiteboard are incomprehensable he abbreviates every word :S

A good guy, his class lectures have very little to do with anything we're marked on - easy justification for not going to class. Course load looks hard, and could be, but can be made easy by faking your way through it - very easy marker. This credit was needed for minor, if I had to, i'd take Santiago again.

This class just sucked. I learned more sitting in my room reading the book than I did in any of his classes. The Indiana Jones movie was good, though. Too bad we didn't have a test on it. I agree, don't take this class if you're trying to quit smoking.

This class was ridiculous. The whiteboard notes and drawings were impossible to understand/comprehend, he abbreviated every word he wrote (just imagine what I just wrote as T. C. W. R. {the class was ridiculous}), and he never left the powerpoint slides up long enough to copy. It was a boring class. I'm glad it's out of the way, now.

I loved his classes so much I took most of them in my last two years. If you can build a rapport with him and show your interest, he will tell you the funniest stories abotu when he was a student. Turns out he is a bit of a prankster! He has always goen out of his way to help me understand and to get extra books and resources. Thanks Dr. Mora!

I took his intro to archaeoloy class, i thought it would be intresting b/c i've worked on sites for a few years before hand-HIS CLASSES SUCKED-He is SOOOO hard to understand and what he was talking about made absolutely no sense. Don't take his class..esp. if your trying to quit smoking-it will drive you up the wall!

hard to understand, thick accent. I can honestly say "wtf" to his drawings... he talks about bones and artifacts and represents them with Zs and Ws... and lines everywhere.. if you tune out for even 2 seconds you're lost for the rest of the class.

Yes, he is hard to understand, but once you get the hang of his accent, it's easy. Stick it out for a week and you will love his class. Very interesting man, loves to teach and is great at it. His assignments get to the point and all that he expects you to do is exactly what he asks. No more, no less. Great prof.
