She is a tough marker but she really makes you work for it. If you do it right, you will do well. She won't make an effort for people that don't try, so if you show your passion for design she will be super helpful. Know the information from previous courses (obviously) and if you attend and listen well, you will do well.

Comes off to be very confusing. For a long time I was just trying to figure out if I liked her or not because she can be very condescending. Super unorganized and will make you fall behind in her own course. Will tell you to change something in your assignment and then will mark it wrong and say you should have done it another way (the first way)

Sara doesn't possess the warmest demeanour... I missed a class and she refused to give me notes. SORRY, BCIT policy. VERY sticky on rules, tough marker but if you're detail oriented you'll do fine. Lectures were dry, I enjoyed the weekly sketch assignments, kept me on task (less work all at the end). Tough but fair I'd say.

Buyer beware! Very unclear about what she wants and when she wants it, be ready to be called out in front of the entire classroom on your faults. Also, be prepared to be figuratively slapped in the face when reading notes left on assignments; this one has no problem making you feel like garbage.

I found her lectures ok but she is CONSTANTLY late. she isnt clear about homework and will add extra things after half of the class has left because class has ended. she is very rude when you ask her about her marking. she assigns too many labs that arent worth more than 5 marks but are insanely time consuming. did not like her. Very bad teacher

I found Sara to be ok as an instructor. I found her class easy but it was because I JUST finished autocad 1 before taking her class (autocad 2) so i still remembered everything. some of the students that took it a few terms later had a hard time because she was not very forgiving when it came to them asking questions. kind of awkward.

Sara is great. she has fun in her class and you feel like you can ask questions. don't be a delinquent in her class or she will scold you and just enjoy what you are doing, also take direction when it is given. text book may come in handy if you have a hard time remembering measurements. write notes/diagrams when she tells you measurements too.

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!She is not an effective communicator and is not a nice person. She leaves ridiculous and redundant comments that contradict things she critiques and teaches.When confronted about marks she refuses to review the work without sarcasm and will never change marks.

I just got my Space Planning assignment back - 3 weeks after the class ended! She takes a long time to mark assignments, so when you find out you're doing something wrong, you've already done other assignments the same wrong way. Always check her comments on your assignments, she doesn't seem to be all there when she is marking. Avoid if possible!
