VERY unhappy with the fact that 100% of what is done in the class (assignment and midterm-wise) is marked completely by TA's. As english is already very subjective, I feel the TA's should be the one's teaching the class given I can't seem to follow Brohpy's guidelines and score high grades. Such a ridiculously run course.

Dr. Brophy is an incredibly hard marker. She is very friendly, but if you ask her questions for assignments don't expect an easy answer back, she will only confuse you more. There are a lot of assignments, in the long run all of these assignments help. This class is a lot of hard work, and your mark does not change after the first few assignments.

I didn't care for her lectures at all. Too much open discussion with the same 2 people talking. She tended to flail her arms when talking, and stuttered as if she was trying to think of the best way to phrase something, following this with very fast talking. Extremely tough marker, everyone in my class did poorly. Not recommended.

Uh, I don't really recall what the course code becuase I took it last year but I have to agree with the person who mentioned her tendency to flail her arms around haha. Her topics were interesting but then she would just get confusing when she tried to connect them to theory. She seemed nice though and she was concerned with the students wellbeing.
