I took Dr. Keller's ANTH of Food & Nutrition and it was the easiest class I have taken at Eastern. We had 1 midterm, which was a take home midterm. We also had a final which was easier than the midterm which is odd. We also had a couple of homework assignments, that were very do-able. Keller just sits at the front of the class and lectures.

Class is based entirely on tests so if you're bad at them, avoid it. Tests are long, no multiple choice. Show up to class and you'll do fine. She tells you exactly what you should write on the tests.

When I took Antro 101 in Fall of 2014 she only had a mid term and final. She is a wonderful women and has a lot of interesting stories! My major issue was there where no power points, study guides, or basically anything written down. When she talked in class you just had to guess what she wanted you to know and what would be tested on.

Class grade is based on a midterm and the final, no homework or any other tests. Lectures are quite boring, people usually only pay attention when we need to write something down or there's an interesting discussion. But, she does know what she's talking about and makes sure we know what we need to for the tests. All essay questions on both tests.

Anther was a very difficult class for me. There are only 2 tests which make up your whole grade, the midterm is 33% and the final is 66%. They are essay questions, which I find difficult. She is very nice, but her class is very boring because it is all lecturing, and she does not take attendance. Also have 2 books to read.

Don't take if you can't deal with ambiguity. Keller tries to help, but she has students look for traits that she might not remember or be able to find the definitions of. Also, this class requires a lot of extra time. Three hours scheduled per week, but AT LEAST an additional six per week to keep up. She may get distracted. Self-taught, long hours.

Dr. Keller is a smart Harvard grad and well established scholar but is not good at teaching. Does not care about her students which shows in her lack of attention to punctuality. Twenty minutes late several times in one quarter. Frustrating lectures, unprepared. Makes her T.A. work twice as hard as he should be required. Gave a timed test in cursiv

Dr. keller loves when you ask questions in her class, but her lectures are very monotone. Your grade is based off of the midterm and the final, and she is not very straightforward with her exams. She makes you study for things that are not covered on the test. She doesn't give a study guide either. Very hard to get an A+

Keller is amazing. She draws a lot on her past field work to reinforce her lectures or just amuse students, but she is quite easy to get off topic. She loves to bring in feasts for this class, so come hungry. She is extremely knowledgeable about her subjects and stays on top of the latest news. Just don't expect her to ever be early to class.

The BEST instructor anthropology could have ever asked for. Take notes, read the book, memorize dates/people/places, write essays, pass the class with flying colors.

LOVE. Grade is based off the midterm and final. No homework. Attendance not mandatory, the lectures are vital to passing. Tests are from the lecture. There are 2 anthro journals you read, theres 1-3 questions about each on each test. Dry sense of humor but hilarious! VERY knowledgeable in the field, she actually started the anthro program at EWU!!

Entire grade was based on your Midterm and Final. No homework/classwork. All she does is lecture. She get side tracked very easily so its really difficult to take notes. Her test are ok. They are essay form. Just pay attention and take good notes.

She goes off on random tangents a lot which kind of makes her hard to follow. But as long as you try to pay attention and get the major stuff into your notes you'll be fine on her exams. The only points you can earn come from her midterm and final.. both essay exams. I learned a lot and its a fairly easy class but pretty boring overall.

There were no assignments at all. She rambles on aimlessly at times. I find it difficult to remember material if homework is never assigned. Good for those who don't need study guides/homework/tests to prepare for midterms and finals.

She expects a lot of her students but it pays off. You learn tons of information in a short time. She has a wealth of info and is always willing to share. Excellent professor and person. I would recommend anyone to take any of her classes.

I took her castles of Britain class. It was all slides and she makes no effort to make it interesting. She just expects you to be as fascinated by it as she is. Our whole grade depended on a 7-essay final, a blue-print and cross-sections of our castle, and a 10-pg paper-all due on day of final. this was a 3 credit class.

Took her 20hr weekend Human Identification class. The material was very interesting and the labs help you learn the information better. There was a lot of information to learn but her test were broad essay questions which allowed for more freedom to just express what you learned.
