Excellent prof. He really cares about his students. He does his absolute best to make sure everyone in the class understands all the content well. Class slides are set up to provide all the information you need to exceed. He is very clear with what is expected on exams. Would highly recommend.

Comment:

Koustov has high expectations, but you can be sure that HE WILL SET YOU UP TO SUCCEED. The slides have all the information you need for the course and his examples in class are well prepared, clearly explained and relevant. He legitimately wants you to master the material. If I could get an entire EP degree from Koustov, I would.

He's a professor who clearly cares about what he's teaching and it shows. Lectures are always easy to follow and he asks the class questions often to keep people engaged. Also a master Russian troll. 10/10 would attend EP Lecture again

Definitely one of the better profs i've had. He takes no prisoners, and makes you work for a passing grade, but he's very fair. He also hosted a 2 hour tutorial outside of lecture time once a week for our class which was huge, never had a prof do that before.

He will grow on you very quickly. As far as the class goes, you're in big trouble if you don't show up to or pay attention to lecture. If you do both, you just need to be able to think independently and you'll do well. This isn't obvious at first, but he will NOT actually kill you for asking him a 'stupid' question.

He's hard but put some time in with him and you'll do okay. His lectures are very very organized and easy to follow and if ever you don't, go talk to him and he will always help you out. I didn't like him at first but he ended up being one of my favourite profs.

I liked him. His tests were pretty freaking hard though, and I didn't do as well as I would have liked which is somewhat my own fault for not studying enough, but also he puts proof questions on tests which, some of us may never get no matter how hard we study. Hilarious though.

I did not understand electricity at all before taking this course. Koustov explains concepts with clarity and many useful integrative examples.Extremely helpful, answers questions, and very qualified. His light Russian accent makes lectures interesting and entertaining.If you want to understand electronics, take this class. You will be glad you did
