The guy knows his stuff, but it was hard to understand him. Be prepared to teach yourself. He's a pretty nice guy (outside of the classroom).

Dr. Schelly Sweet elderly man.The main problem i had was his teaching technique. He teaches more theory than the actual problems and if you're like myself i'm interested in how to do the problems. I just sit in his lectures and write down what I think is useful. Besides that if you are taking him make a daily trip to the Chem Clinic. SH rm 219.

He's difficult to understand and used to teaching advanced students. Don't expect any help, and don't expect much actual teaching. Everyone had to teach themselves, and whenever questions were asked, he'd go off on a tangent for two or three class periods. Don't waste your money taking him. If there aren't any slots open in another class, wait.

please do not take this teacher, save yourself the agony i went through, u have to teach yourself everthing in this class, do not ask questions, if you do, he will spend the whole class on that question, he has no sense of direction.

Knows his stuff and insists you know yours. He is a tough professor but if you work, you'll walk out of his class knowing something. Of course, you could take it from a blow off prof but you'd be wasting your money. Btw, he's Austrian.

Lectures are not very clear and do not flow from one chapter to the next. He has a Russian or German type accent which makes it even harder to understand. Take Rogers instead.
