Such a nice guy. He is very lenient and he understands if you're out sick or happen to miss an assignment. Provides examples and help with speeches so you come in without feeling unprepared. Quizzes are easy as long as you read the chapters in the book. Clear grading criteria and sends out reminder emails. Please take him if you get a chance to.

Professor Borgerding was a great professor for COMM 131. He was very friendly and nice and let you know exactly what you need to know for every assignment. 3 speeches, a few quizzes, a midterm, and a final. If you practice your speeches and do the readings, you will be fine! Overall, Borgerding is the way to go!

If you have to take comm 131, TAKE HIM. So easy, you only have to go to class about once every three classes, 3 short speeches and quizzes that would be easy in high school. Super sweet guy, and easy grader.

Professor Borgerding is one of the sweetest professors at Towson! I hate public speaking but did not mind this class at all. 3 speeches that are only 3-5 minutes long. A few quizzes that are either 5 or 10 questions and he tells you everything that'll be on them so they're super easy. Very lenient with canceling class and lets you out early!

Mr.Borgerding is a great, older professor. Teaches at Eastern Tech too. He gives his students a lot of attention and is always willing to work with you one on one. Very underspoken, and very easy to get along with.

I was dreading taking a speech class, but I actually ending up enjoying this one. You have 3 speeches, just 3-5 minutes long each, and you can use an outline for all of them. He also sets it up so if you present on Tuesday you don't have to come Thursday for every speech.

He is such a sweet teacher, he really cares about his students. He has a lot of trouble hearing, and some of the class seems pointless. He is a fairly easy grader as long as you do the work and show up to most of the classes. He doesnt always take attendance, but you never know when he is going to.

Incredibly fun and relaxed class! We even watched a few movies in it. Unfortunately although the tests are easy, he grades a bit hard on the presentations. That pretty much pulled me down a B. Won't be too much outside work, but will be hard to get an A in.

The GREATEST teacher EVER in the history of Towson University. I seriously wish I could have him for another class but haven't figured out what else he may teach here. Seriously, if you need to take COMM 131 or can take it as a Gen. Ed. with him, DO SO..you will not regret it, it'll be stress-free, fun and you'll get a break from all the BS here!

AWESOME!! i wish all teachers were like him. i was scared to death about public speaking but he makes class so comfortable by the end i felt like a pro. no busy work. 2 tests--very easy. 4 speeches (3 main ones). get out of class early almost every class. soooooo nice!!!

The best. Very clear on what he expects of the class, and very understanding when you are presenting. Only 3 3-5 minute speeches, a few random quizzes (they're easy) and a midterm and final. One of the nicest guys you could meet, very willing to help/change due dates if needed.
