Comment:

I really liked taking Dr. Caplan's class. Three exams, 5-7 textbook readings per exam plus lecture material w/ lots of overlap between the two. Most of the material was common sense and/or just really interesting so it wasn't that difficult. Lectures are posted on UD Capture but most people usually went to class anyway.

Comment:

Awesome. This class was super interesting and taught me a lot about myself. Lectures are posted on UD Capture but I found myself going to every class because it was super enjoyable. Caplan is super funny and his lectures are easy to understand, just make sure you study because there are only 3 exams and that is your whole grade. READ THE TEXTBOOK!!

This was a great class. I took it online and thought the material was relatable so it made it easier to comprehend and do well. It was condensed since it's summer so there was a lot of reading (book needed) and lectures, 3 exams but no papers in 5 weeks. I recommend purchasing the course packet to help with notes.

I loved this man! Even though I took his class online, I still learned a lot and was even inspired by what I learned from him! He made the class fun by giving funny examples and was always making sure that everyone understood the concepts. He commends you personally for doing well in the class. The tests are hard if you do not study a lot for them

This class is super interesting, and lecture is not hard to follow along with and be engaged with. The tests can be quite hard if you don't study the readings well, so be sure to do that! All in all a really cool class, work hard and you'll do well

Dr. Caplan is such a great guy and really cares about what he teaches and his students. This class was so interesting and useful but it is only graded on three exams so you have to be willing to put in work for them to get a good grade

Caplan is one of the best professors I've ever had. He is so respectful and keeps it real with students. I learned so much in the class but the grade I received doesn't reflect how much I learned. 3 exams (worth 38%, 38%, and 24% of grade) 40 MC each. Wish there were other assignments for the grade in the class.

i am obsessed with professor caplan. he cares so much about students and teaches his material so well. his coursepack is easy to follow and we are actually tested on what we learn as opposed to many other teachers. i love him and would take another class in a heartbeat

Caplan is such a sweet professor! His material was super straightforward. He records his lectures through Course Capture so going to class isn't always necessary but he was so entertaining I didn't mind going. Study from notes or packets and you should do well. Also, textbook isn't completely necessary but some terms from text shows up on exams.

He was super energetic and really invested in the topics that he was talking about. I loved listening to his lectures because they were super interesting. He was an awesome professor to have and really wanted to see his students succeed. He did make the class tough but it was always fair.

professor caplan is the sweetest guy and genuinely cares about what he is teaching and his students. I loved him so much i am taking him again next semester! His grades are 100% exams that are weighted differently so you definitely need to study and read the book. i would highly suggest getting the course pack!!!i learned the most from this class

Learning about interpersonal communication never fails to be interesting. You learn a lot about yourself, your family, your friends, romantic partners etc in this class. Buy the textbook because if a subject overlaps between the book and lecture it will 100% be on test. Def participate because it will help you understand everything. Easy COMM class

SO funny and it's a really cool subject as well! You definitely have to do the readings if you want to pass the exams as well as taking good notes. Attendance isn't mandatory because all the lectures are on course capture. I HIGHLY suggest getting the course packet along with the textbook. After this class, you too will be an interpersonal ninja!

This class was awesome. Caplan is the best and I highly recommend it. 3 exams all MC. Get the note booklet. Has all the lectures on course capture so you don't even have to show up. He is the best professor Ive ever had and I really learned valued information. As long as you try to actually learn, it will be so worth taking this class.

Dr. Caplan isn't a terrible professor. However, I have had better and more interesting professors at UD. Comm330 was not mandatory to attend (the lectures are on course capture) and its pretty boring. I found the material more interesting when I would listen to the lectures. The exams are straight-forward and ALOT of material comes from the text.

Professor Caplan is absolutely amazing. I took his class online over winter session and loved listening to all of the lectures. Very funny and makes them super easy to listen to and engage with. Definitely a class everyone should take!!

Comment:

One of the best classes and professors I've had! He's great at speaking, and genuinely enjoys teaching. Only thing is there are three exams total, and that's it. Make sure to do well on the exams. But lectures are on course capture, so it's easy to catch up if you miss class. Highly recommend! Also a great class for valuable ife lessons.
