Comment:

2 semesters = 6 classes. He is the reason why I dropped music as my major. Offensive, not helpful at all & degrading. Plays favorites, mostly women for attention. Also made it a point to make sure no tutoring was available since "you should know this" Learned nothing and distanced myself from college music so I wouldn't end up hating what I love.

He was a great professor. He did have a tendancy to clear his throat a lot. He is an amazing musician. If things are unclear you need to seek him out, he will not seek you out. He knows so much, he is always willing to answer your questions.

He really seems to be a talented person in music, but he lacks in teaching. His tests are his flaw. They are very unclear and his grades based solely on his opinions. Not to mention he has this throat clearing tic that will drive you crazy. Great for laughs though!

DO NOT TAKE CUTTING FOR HUMANITIES! He's very unclear, and the essay questions on the test are either right or wrong- even if you truly believe they are right (and you have evidence to prove it), you won't get credit for it. He clears his throat every 2 seconds, and it's annoying. However, he does have a few interesting stories to tell.

I took several classes from Mr. Cutting. He was a great professor. He definately pushed his students and some people would say he pushed too hard but he has explained this to me and the only reason he pushes his students is if he thinks they have potential.

The first two tests in Cutting's class are desgned to make students do poorly, but it encourages students to study harder for the rest of the tests and they get easier. Cutting was pretty boring and lacked personality, but it's a subject few find exciting
