Over great teaching style. The problem with Scott are: -Rarely checks his email -Extremely generalized assignments(No instructions of what he want and no due dates written or online any where, he only say those things like once) -Does not want to mark your grade until June and some times even just forgot about it all together

This man will go out of his way to help you and consistently goes above and beyond most other professors. On top of that, he's absolutely hilarious and his lectures are always engaging. I would not have gotten accepted into this program if it weren't for him; he's helped me from day one at the open house. Life-changing experience. I owe him my life

Fantastic teacher. His lectures were very helpful and informative, and he really made me want to learn C++. Attendance isn't strictly mandatory, but he doesn't post much stuff online so you'll definitely want to come to every class. I would highly recommend getting this teacher if you can.

The best. Just by talking to him for 2 minutes, you know he's an extremely dedicated guy. If you have any problems let him know and he will help you. He is quite unorganized but if you go to class (Which I look forward to with Scott) you will understand everything he's covered.

Scott was amazing! I absolutely loved his class. He made learning the UNIX operating system a breeze. Always fun to joke around with. Crazy energetic. Great guy overall. Would take his classes again. Textbook use during the class is mostly optional but it is vital to have during the final and midterm exams.

Scott is the funniest and most knowledgeable prof i ever met. he is so cool and teaches even so hard topic with so ease. He makes class alive and attentive with his funny jokes and way of teaching. this is the 1st course in which i didn't need to study at home because i already knew everything from class. i have lots to write but words limit :(

Fun teacher makes learning fun, and is a very interesting person. But I only feel like I learned how to pass his class. I don't feel like I can program in C++ or understand it as well as I had hoped to. I suggest buying the text book to follow along, it's not mandatory, but highly recommended.

Scott is a great guy and one of the most liked teachers at Humber, York, and now Guelph. He is amazing for 50-90% of the students. If you are very smart/advanced, you will find his answers to your Q too simple, if you are lazy you WILL FAIL. (he has the highest failure rate for the whole CPAN)

Very cute and way to smart for your own good. Although not always very clear, his lectures will leave you with your head spinning all around the school (most of the times your head is gone anyway.) Highly recommended. Take the class! It's unforgettable fun.
