Sweet & funny teacher. His lectures are interesting. Some comments talk about tangents, but they actually helped the class for me. He tells some interesting stories and raises great questions about science & morality. Does his best to make sure his students are doing ok. Takes your class participation into account if you need a grade boost. Lenient

Tangant inceptions- he goes off on tangents within his tangents "a room full of estrogen." , a quote in the beginning of the year the way that he comes across makes you feel uncomfortable. Hes very loud, I feel like Im going to go deaf. half the time he doesnt even know what hes doing.

I had him in 8th grade for Earth Science at AMS starting in 2003. Yeah, for you college kids taking him now, that's how long he's been doing this, at least. Clear and cares about all students and their well-being, something very important in all teachers. To this day I am grateful to him bumping up my grade by 10 points at a time I needed it most.

Easy A! Only tests that he gives are a midterm and a final. No homework at all. Gives a 7-9 research paper that he grades leniently. Easy class for non-science majors. Great teacher overall. Highly recommend you take his class.

Only a midterm, a final & 7-9 page term paper. Only a few quizzes that are really easy if you study the power points he provides. Study and you will get an A.

Negatives: Very disorganized with assignments and doesn't respond to emails Positives: Only gives a midterm and final which are very easy if you use the study material he provides! One long research paper that he is very lenient on! Very nice teacher and an easy science class for core! Definitely take

Really not a good teacher. I had him for RES in 8th grade, and he told us he hoped we'd all fail. Incoherent, unorganized and mean. He got off topic easily and often. We know far more about his 5 children then we want to now. There were never clear due dates for anything we were assigned, and changed about 5 times in a 45 minute period.

Professor Kuster was a really nice guy. This class was somewhat necessary to attend. He makes you sign an sheet which he doesn't always remember to hand out. Literally haven't read the textbook once and there are rarely ever assignments. Also we were suppose to read a book and half way through he forgot about it. Take this class for an easy B+ / A

mr kuster means well, but is pretty much all over the place. lectures are unclear and scattered. large novels are required. not a terribly difficult class, but very boring. the only class i've fallen asleep in at marist.

Do NOT take! I got an A in the class, but only by intense outside studying. He throws info at you too fast, & lectures PURELY P.P. Print those & bring to class to take notes on. 2 tests (midterm & final), these are VERY hard!!! Must study far in advance- the curve does help a little, but not much. Avoid him at all costs! Take only if necessary!

He is really uptight and throws so much information out at you really quickly. You have to do a lot of work outside of class if you want to do ok. Gave up trying to take notes since I had to look at all outside of class anyway - so it was really boring. Wouldn't recommend but I'm sure there are worse.

The class itself is very straight forward- every class is a powerpoint that goes over a chapter in the textbook. EVERYTHING learned in class is straight from textbook which makes it pretty boring. Never any homework- HOWEVER. grade comes form midterm and final and they are RIDICULOUSLY hard. The wording is what will screw you over.

He is a good guy and he means well. However, he will drive you crazy. He doesn't hand ANYTHING back, so you have no idea what your grade is. He is very unclear with assignments. Also not good at ILearn. However, you WILL learn stuff in his class because he often teaches whatever he feels like. Don't buy the textbook for HBio, you NEVER use it.

Professor Kuster is a great guy. He means well...but he is also a dad to young kids and a middle school teacher, so he has a lot on his plate. I do not know the grades on half of the assignments we completed. Some of the material we were tested on was never covered in class...If you put effort into assignments and studying, you'll do fine.

Scott O Kuster was an awesome guy. Used powerpoints for every class that basically just went straight through the textbook. I just brought my textbook to class and highlighted as he spoke. His quizes are actually tests but you shouldn't stress out he curves all of them. One group presentation which was not hard at all. Not a bad class at all.
