He is well versed in Canadian history and honestly I wasn't expecting to enjoy the subject but he made it quite interesting. I am satisfied that I took a class with him. He doesn't assign long papers and the tests are pretty straight forward.

Best professor I have had so far. Class was very interesting, he was very interested and enthusiastic, and he made himself available to the students whenever they needed him. Definetley a different way to look at American History. Would suggest him and this class to anyone looking at an upper-level history class.

Scott is a great professor, I took a couple classes with him as an MA student. He cares about his student, is a product of UMaine and is very sensible, clearly the most all around professor in the history department.

Very good professor. Gives great lectures and tests are fair. Is very friendly and is very willing to help students out. For a 400-level course, it really wasn't a whole lot of work. Just go to class and take notes.
